Default Configuration help

Hey guys,

I need some instruction on configuring the car. Currently, when I open the door it moves my side mirrors and steering wheel. I have been messing around in the settings and reading the OM but can't get it to stop. It used to do it when I exit the car too and the seat used to move as well. Somehow I got the seat to stay put but the mirrors and steering wheel still adjust.

Reading the manual has got me a bit confused with the wordings of "recalling" and "previous settings", both manual and automatically. If someone who has a good handle on this can give me the low down, that would be awesome.

Wanting the car to reset itself when i open the door. I am tall so everything is pushed back to just about its maximum distance, but the height, lumbar, bolster settings are ones that i don't want to figure out each time it resets. In the event something gets bumped or someone else drives it, i want it to resent when I open the door. I don't really need an exit setup, but would like to know how to set it up and save it. The process of moving things and holding the button until it beebs doesn't seem to be working. It always reverts back to the previous owners settings.

Thanks.

The memory only remembers the seat position, steering wheel position (tilt/tele) and mirror position. It doesn't remember the lumbar and bolster settings.

It also knows which Key Fob to adjust to! So its automatic to the one you have unless you have both then it reverts to #1

OH that's cool. I didn't read that. Kind of odd, but I can see the benefit. Maybe I programmed the wrong one.

Even without bolster and lumbar, I want to get this figured out.

I found the whole deal with seats and steering wheel moving around when opening the door very annoying. Somewhere in the menu (I forget what its called) you can disable all that and everything stays right where you like it.

Same here. It just seems to be asking for problems. Its called "Easy Exit Options" under Vehicle Personalization via the infotainment screen. Turned off day 2 of ownership along with Reverse Tilt Mirrors which was super annyoning.

I use Easy Exit with the mirror tilt turned off.

Love it

I thought the reverse mirror tilt was a good idea, but presently, i need to do a 4 point turn or more to back out of the garage and maneuver around cars. So i worry about running the motor out going back and forth for the first 5 minutes until I get out of the drive. Its a rental home until I find a new home so it won't be an issue forever.
