I have a 2019 Z51 and need to find where it is written that I am entitled to 3 free oil changes. The
dealer claims I only get 2 oil changes with the 500 mile change counting as the first one.
Also - Anybody that ordered their car and had a courtesy delivery should check your warranty
start date. Chevy claims my warranty started on 3/24/18 even though I didn't receive my car
until 4/13/18. Apparently my warranty started the day the selling dealer completed the paper
work and I am in the middle of contesting it with customer non-service.
If you bought the Z51/GS/Z06, dry sump engine, you're going to need the 500 to 1,000 mile first oil change. If you bought the base Stingray engine? You can go 7,500 miles between oil/filter changes. If you still have your window sticker/s? On the beginning of the first page it states how many oil & oil filter changes your car gets for free, provided they're completed during the first two years of ownership. Also, they're in their rights to refuse oil changes unless your car's oil change meter calls for it within X amount of oil life % remaining.
Of course, Chevrolet may state something far different than this. ^^^^
If you are going to put in that much effort contesting a few weeks warranty, might I respectfully suggest you do yourself and your C7 a favor and just change your oil/filter yourself (since it's well documented that many dealerships cannot consistently figure out how to do so correctly).

Yep. I feel waaaaay better doing it myself. It's all under my close control. No hoping nothing bad happens. But I've said this a few times now.

Sounds completely reasonably to me that your warranty starts when you actually purchase the car (ie. documents signed and funds transfer).
And I agree, do yourself a favor and change your own oil or you could very well be setting yourself up for another issue to be upset about.

I would like to do my own oil changes, but some of us just don't have a place, or the equipment needed. So, it's off to the dealer I go. Makitso, my 2019 Grand Sport only can with 2 changes, the 500 mile being the first. One question, did your sales person set you up with a GM awards account? Mike Fruman at Criswell set an account up for me, and just buying the car and setting up the account gave me enough points for a 3rd free change when needed. If your's did not, check back with them. I'm sure you can still get the account.
Also, my warranty doesn't match my pick up date either. I bought out of state, and couldn't pick the car up right away. No big deal for me. I wouldn't worry about that. As the old saying goes, "Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff".

Couldn't you just request they give you the last quart of oil in a bottle and you fill as needed so the issues of over/under filling don't happen? Top it off when you get home.

Yep, that's what I did when I got my 500 mile change. The Tech didn't have a problem with that at all.

When I purchased my 17 Grand Sport from McMulkin my window sticker had the same two oil change language BUT the Corvette Complete Care 2017-2018 letter which I signed at delivery has under included Maintenance the 24K miles or 24 month two maintenance services AND it states Also included is a 500 mile break in oil change service covered by GM. Local VA dealer honors this and will provide three oil changes within the warranty period. May have changed but thats what I have.
