Bra needed?

Suntek / Xpel & Novistrech
Had Xpel on my 14 Stingray - great product - 30,000 miles no problems.
Used Suntek for my 17 Grand Sport - 16;000 miles no problems
Have been on many long road trips all over the US and always use the Novistrech Bra. As stated in previous replies it helps keep the fine stuff & bugs out of the radiator areas. Also easy to wash - you can go thru a touch less wash without removing - it dries quick.

Funny how some worry about the looks of a front license plate but will then go put a damn ugly cloth bra on the nose

Drifting
I use a Colgan bra for the Vette if I am doing a trip on going on the track. I like that it is a heavy vinyl that has a soft flannel backing. It has the opening for the radiator so dirt and bugs can get in there. In my opinion I just think the thickness protects better than a thin mesh net

I had a Speed Lingerie bra on my C5, the color was close to the LeMans blue and I dont think it made it look better, but they go off and on quickly. The whole deal about it rubbing the paint off? Never been a problem on any of the four cars I have had one on. C5 had 167,000 miles on it and I wish I had gotten it sooner. I drive one of the dirtiest highways and it doesn't matter the speed, following distance or which lane you're in, there is **** flying all over the place. They protect very well and the colors dont stand out so much. You'll still get ridiculed by some but do what you want.

Not saying that the bra is pretty by any means...but would you agree that paint chips look uglier than a mesh bra? The Mesh bra comes off for free - paint chips dont... Also, Im not looking at my car while driving it...so I dont see the bra when it needs to be on...

As I spent considerable amount on a clear bra, obviously I'm not a fan of rock chips. But as the pic I posted shows, I don't have a problem with a front plate either but many here do

On my Street Rod next to it, I use a mesh material that clips to the ‘34 grill. It does the same keeps bugs out. Cleaaning the AC condenser/rad is not just hard, it’s impossible without taking the car apart. Comes off with 4 clips for shows!

I do the same! NoviStretch on the Grand Sport got longer trips to stop bugs etc from getting into the AC condenser and rad there are hard to get at to clean

Went with Xpel Ultimate Pro on my '19 and too soon to tell how it holds up but it is crystal clear, swirls and scratches fade quickly. So far I'm thrilled

Just had suntek installed yesterday , standard protection covering full bumper and hood till the grille, i measured the hood till the grille is 18 inches whereas i expected 24 inches of coverage, those of you who installed clear bra with standard protection how far did they install on the hood , right till the vents or above it too. I know going another 6 inches up will show the line clearly but would it be better protection? Full protection covering entire hood is desirable but very expensive.
Thanks

I think the covers are super ugly. If you want to protect your car by covering it up then why even paint in the first place. So i highly recommend the clear bras.
And this coming from a person that had a rock hit the front bumper so hard it went through the cover and ship the paint all the way to the plastic.

Yes mine does too goes upto top of the hood vents which is 18 inches of hood coverage? Is that normal for standard protection?
24 inches means another 6 inches on top of the vents, asking if that's normal for standard protection?
Thanks

Yes that is normal. The only other option I am aware of is the full hood application. But....there are installers that will make customized cuts of the material and have the flexibility to do exactly what the customer wants.
