Default Upgrade question

I bought a 2016 C7 that was very low miles... It was a pretty good deal but did not have everything I wanted as far as equipment... It has the 1LT package and I would like to upgrade the exhaust... my question is where to start?? Just would like to have something that has a better sound and/or something like the exhaust sounds with the 3LT package when changing to sport mode...

thanks for the suggestions

I put a set of used axle back NPP mufflers on my non-NPP '17 Stingray. Now I get the louder exhaust 100% of the time for $300. For me, it's perfect.

I agree that the factory NPP exhaust actually sounds very good. You can probably get a used set at a decent price. Otherwise, something like a Corsa catback system would be a good choice.

The trim package has nothing to do with whether a C7 comes with NPP exhaust or not.

Yep, my 1LT 2016 Stingray I ordered with NPP exhaust. It comes stock on all Grand Sports as well regardless of trim package.

Is exhaust the only option you feel you are "missing" or do you wish you had other options, that the 1LT did not provide? If it's just exhaust, that can be easily remedied by an aftermarket upgrade. If you feel you are missing options like upgraded stereo, upgraded leather, upgraded seating, Z51 package, HUD, front cameras, NAV, heated / memory seating then that will require a different Vette (or a lot of costly, aftermarket upgrades).

mainly the exhaust is what I would like to upgrade... the other items you mentioned would be nice, but not too big of an issue... just trying to figure out the best option for upgrading the exhaust...

There's any number of aftermarket C7 exhaust systems out there, Corsa Catback as has been mentioned is a good one. Performing a forum search should identify other favorites.

For me this worked. Just changing the x-pipe was the perfect upgrade to my NPP exhaust. Don't think the car needs anymore... for now.
