I just attended the school on 2/22 & 2/23. It was a great experience and learned so much about the abilities of this car. I was pushed to exploit the capacities of a Grand Sport in my case. Talking with one of the instructors, unprompted he told us he had driven and taught students on many cars including Ferraris, Porsches, etc. His opinion was the Corvette beats them all, saying "the C7 Corvette is a street legal racecar".
Make sure if you get this opportunity you take it. The facility is world class, the program and professionalism top notch. A real steal at $1k with the Chevy subsidy.
Great to hear! I’m going in May (13/14) subsequent to my recent GS purchase. I didn’t go earlier when I bought my 2015 and regretted it. Not going to let the opportunity get by this time!

Going in less than 3 weeks.Get out of winter hell for 4 days and race someone else's Grand Sport. Gotta love it. Do you really think Chevy subsidizes the cost? I would imagine we pay for that when we buy it. It's just that not every body uses it. Can't wait. Glad you enjoyed it.

If you sign up on outside a new Vette or take the continuing classes it is $3800. Does Chevy subsidize it or does the school simply have a deal worked with GM? I dont know, I dont care as the deal is great. Cadillac drivers get it as well, and ZR1 drivers get it included, and I doubt the Fellows school eats the cost. You can challenge anything like this with cynicism, I just know most other manufacturers offer nothing lke this. Take advantage of it....

Not being cynical, just curious if we pay for this when we buy the car. Agree about taking advantage of it.

Somebody is paying, and I doubt Chevrolet takes a loss for anyone to attend the COS. Accordingly, must be built into the pricing for new Corvettes. Not everyone takes advantage of the school, so the cost factor most likely is prorated based on historical usage.

Cost of class is included on purchase of Cadillac CTS-V. My brother is a CTS-V owner and me a Grand Sport, we are both going toward end of March, our classes overlap by one day.
First of all I would like to say AMAZING class and people!! Worth every penny even at full price...
I suspect that they just have a deal with GM to cover their costs (gas, fluids, brake pads etc). I don't think GM gives them any money. At least when I was there they said they basically make no money on the owner's school. Just enough to cover their costs (and maybe not even that much considering the logistics). The discount is likely part of the deal that allows them to buy the cars from GM at roughly what it costs GM to make them. In other words the deal in part probably says "you let them take this class at your cost and we will sell you the cars at our cost"
@fishpick. Nah, no jean shorts for me. In fact, the reason I scheduled the class on a Wednesday and Thursday is because I wanted to drive BEFORE a Hangover style, single guy, burn off steam, wild party weekend in Vegas. It was a rough 2018 and starting the 22nd is gonna be my revenge.
I’ll be in the Stingray class and can’t wait to get started. There may be a little gray in my hair but I’ll be one of the younger guys too. Damn early grey hair....
I’m going March 20-21. Everyone raves about the experience and I couldn’t pass this up. I’ve had the car for nearly a year now!
You are going to love it. I went last summer and not a day goes by that I don't think about how much fun I had. The course is great, the instructors are even better.
I just went this weekend. What an absolute blast! The instructors were very professional, very knowledgeable, and obviously loved their jobs.(Who wouldn't!!!) If you're taking a guest, make sure they get to ride with the instructors. I think my wife had as much fun as I did.
I thought it was tied to the VIN number .....my 2019 GS had a whopping 672 miles on it.....no discount, full price for the course.....looking for alternatives now.
I think you can work with them on it. As long as you bought the car are "new". I think you must be the first owner! They were flexible with me to extend my dates 1 month past my 365 registration deadline.
