but....how will car fax KNOW if nothing was ever filed?

And honestly, I'll have this ride long enough that a minor "damage" report on there won't make a difference

They won't........but it's still deceptive not to mention it if asked. Even if it doesn't make Carfax.

..I'd be certain to notify the GM and owner group executive office of the driver that drove a car into
yours.

update:

about $5000 to fix. New door...paint it. Then blend paint on left front fender, left rocker, left rear panel. Suntek film replace on left front fender.

While it's there...finally getting the front bumper repainted and new Xpel.....this is from a previous insurance claim that I just hadn't done yet. I think the grill is cracked too...gonna ask for the Z06/GS grill.

Annnnnd...will have them install my skirts from C7Carbon. Dropping her off 3/19. They'll have her about 2 weeks.

Infiniti dealership will give me a loaner.

I will happily post new pics once it's done.

Well. I must admit I admire your attitude. Most guys around here would be apoplectic!

Good luck with the fix hope it will look just as good before the damage!

OP is a cool cat. It will be good as new - because it will be new and black is typically a very good match.

Get a goodie or two on them (aero install) & call it good.

I would also push them for an invoice less holdback deal on the Infiniti ... so you keep 'quiet'. : )

Body shop has her now. I'm guessing about 3 weeks. Infiniti gave me a 2019 Q50 loaner. This one has the bigger engine too. Not a bad substitute while my girl is getting fixed up.

I'll post pics once I get her back. What sucks is.....its been GORGEOUS here in ATL. Finally NO rain and I don't have my car. LOL. ugh.

I agree! I like your attitude too. In the end as long as you are still happy with your car that is all that matters. My guess is that you'll be driving it way beyond where a CARFAX will even matter.

Looks totaled! I'll buy for parts!

All jokes aside, that's just silly. How do ppl even do this.

Seems like an absolute lack of respect for others property to me. Ida been pissed beyond that burning bridge over the dried up river.

I did let out a commanding "What the fck" when I initially saw it. LOL. I cooled down after a while. And honestly, as I thought about it...I would've been MORE pissed if I had done something to my car myself. The dealership has been awesome so far regarding taking care of me and repairs to the car. Gave me a brand new Q50 to drive. It's an adequate ride till I get mine back.

The salesman who hit it was the guy I was already working with on trading in our SRT for a QX80. I had bargaining power now. I'm happy with what we got worked out.

Future potential issue is how long I'll be driving their new Q50. But, I don't think they'll mind much. I'm not racking up a ton of miles. I'm a pilot..when I go to work, I'm gone 4-6 days at a time so...it just sits there.

It’s fiberglass no replacing the door. They will repair it, will not replace skin or any of that. They can fix it like new. It will still cost around $2000. Guy backed into me while I was sitting in the car. Cracked my fender chipped paint on door and mirror. I was worried about damage to structure behind the fender where it connects to car. They pulled fender off and took door apart to show me. No damage. I was amazed how hard a hit it took. Taking it apart and paint was the hard part. Don’t worry it will be fine.

Oh I got a new door fellas. He cracked the %$#& out of it. I was standing with my guy at the body shop...clip board in hand. Took one quick look..."well this one is easy, new door". LOL. Blend paint on every panel on the driver side except the A pillar.

Plus my front bumper is getting repaint/repaird from a previous ins claim that I just hadn't taken the time to do yet. It's gonna look brand new. NO road rash at all now.

Sooooooo, I've been working extra. Away from home more. But the weather....UGH. Every damn day I'm home it's been gorgeous.

Update...no pics yet tho. Sorry

new skirts from C7 Carbon look awesom. Z06 grill looks awesome. New door and paint look awesome.

But

the bumper..looked almost new. Looks like someone bumped the leading edge right at the point after it was painted. Chipped. Ugh. Also, there was a line/ripple in the clear coat on another section. Even tho this one item wasn’t perfect, I still will only go to this shop. Because I didn’t even have to fight to have them redo it. Back in the shop again. I know they’ll get it right.

Wren’s Body Shop...ATL area...I use the Douglasville office. Excellent people there.

LMAO. Right?!

the SRT was her ride. She wanted a nicer ride this time. We put 94,000 miles on that SRT.

Who knows what’ll happen when this one gets traded.
