Anyone sell a C7 "Over-the-Door" mounted passenger entry/exit assist handle?
My wife has developed difficulty with entering and exiting my 2017 Z51 due to hip issues.
Does anyone know of an "above-the-door" mounted (similar in design and function as you find in SUVs and pickups) passenger assist/grab handles for the C7 Coupe?
I have searched every place that I can think of, but keep coming up empty. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
Tom

I think it would be very tough to find something like this other than to maybe rig something up yourself that would involve drilling some holes in the A pillar. Unfortunately the Corvette roofline is so low a handle might not even help her get upright enough. Probably the easiest solution would be to help your wife in and out every time.

I hate to say it, but it may be time to buy a SUV that she's more comfortable getting in and out of.

Is she getting into the car properly by sitting down first and then swinging her legs in?

Guys,
I appreciate the responses!
(1) She already has a 2018 NISSAN MURANO.
(2) Yes, She already sits and swings. It is the standing up and sitting down that is the problem.
(3) Not sure that any of the products shown on their website would fit. ;-)

take a good look at the car assurance handle. I saw it at a show last year and it looked good. You place the handle over the door opening loop to get in or out. Once in or out you just lift up on the handle and take it out and take it with you.

No, but I'm noticing my C7 seems to be more difficult to get in and out of than my new C3 was in 1977.
..The overhead assist handles are not going to be C7 items. Certainly not the convertible.
..***Footnote: the C4 wasn't exactly a piece of cake to get in and out of in 1985 for me. That was a weird one.

Many of use use exit mode on the 2LT/LZ and 3LT/LZ cars to make it easier to get in and out of the driver side. You could always do the same thing manually on the passenger side. Yes it’s a PITA but it would work.

Because all the moving parts for the door mechanisms are in the B pillar, this type of assist handle would not be a good thing to use on the door itself. Putting weight on the "loop" in the door would put a lot of stress on the hinges, which is why they moved everything to the B pillar to begin with.

I remember seeing this on Shark Tank or some similar show. Not sure it will work in the C7...

I'm with Ih2lose, have hip replacement surgery. You'll be very pleased you had the surgery. The hip replacement does not require severing any major muscle groups so it's the easiest of the replacement surgeries (knee, shoulder, hip). Very quick recovery
