Anyone touch up the factory satin black Z06 wheels?
I’ve got the satin black wheels, with the red stripe, and have a couple rock chips I’d like to touch up. The paint on the barrel and back lip seems to be regular paint. The face Is another matter. It seems thicker and is obviously much softer. Same with the red stripe around the lip. Feels almost “rubbery”.
Anyone know what this paint is and best way to touch it up? Stripe?
Thanks,
Mike

Wish I could help but i was looking for advice on touching up the black wheels as well. Noticed the first rock chip the other day and have about 5,500 miles on it in ten months.
Too bad there's no such thing as black aluminum.

Chip Off the Old Block
Years ago, a biker acquaintance who did insurance wreck rebuild frauds told me for small chips to use a paper match stick. Just a humble match from a book of them. Tear it off and use the frayed end as a brush. Weird, it works great. Though today, the problem is finding a matchbook.

I got mine at Walmart $ 3. +/- Black satin hobby paint in the hobby isle. 2 OZ+/-, just buy a cheap little paint brush and good to go....

Lots of suggestions on the Google....some look interesting, kind of skeptical of others. Still one of these should work, right?
