Default Spark Plugs

Time to replace my spark plugs. Any recommendations as to what I should purchase? Thanks.

Can't go wrong with a new set of the factory ACDelco plugs. I just ordered a new set along with wires from RockAuto, they have a mail in rebate offer going on for the plugs.

^ I agree as no reason I can think of to go with anything other than what the maker specifies. You must have a ton of miles on her.

I'm doing mine @ 43k miles since my car is now 5 years old. Not called for until 100k, but no harm in staying ahead of the curve is my thought to make sure it keeps running like new.

I have about 93,500 miles on it! I'll take the plugs in with my next oil change and have them replace them. The dealership here in Lake Havasu let's me bring my own parts in. Some items, as I'm sure you are well aware of, are significantly less expensive than at a dealership. They don't mind.

I haven't had to change spark plugs in 30 years. All my cars and RVs, have been diesels !!

..I'm with Krackah! Get em, and plug wires on Amazon/ Internet.

Careful here; for some reason the plug wires are an art to put on where they will stay. . I've had twice to come off. Of course on the right bank which is a real hassle to get to. Definitely let a vette tech do it. Dale

First of all the plugs don't look foul, i would recommend pull the plugs clean with small heat Torch gap at .035 Its not your Wires , find a good used coil that you know that works don't install thoses Delco Repro. made in China there junk and see what happens.

Thanks for the advice. I have already bought the plugs and they were made in Michigan according to the box. I got them at Rock Auto and my final cost for eight of them was $36 after the $24 rebate. I'm just going to have my mechanic install them at my next oil change. I never even gave it a thought to do it myself. To begin with, I can hardly turn a light switch on and off.

At the rate I am driving my C7 (13k in 5.5 yrs), I will hit 100K when I am 117. I will worry about it then.,,,,

Talking to the tech at our previous dealership, I asked how the plugs on the C5/C7 looked when they were changed.
He said at 50k they still looked good, at 100k they definitely need to be changed.

IDK. Most of the cost of the plug replacement is already paid for with the labor. Retail at Autozone is under $9 assuming no rebate. What would the point be of dragging it to 100K? I really don't like to leave plugs in that long especially with cars that aren't driven very much. Over the years, I have never done a stuck spark or glow plug that didn't require some sort of head work.
