Default 4/7/19~ ZR1 #2102/Z06/GS/Stingray~All Corvette Delivery post~Mike Furman@Criswell****

*This weeks delivery post is dedicated to my son...
~Today my son turns 27. There are Two dates for him that are always difficult for me. The other is July 29th as that was the day he was hit by a speeding car 6.5 years ago. So happy birthday to my son Tyler and my wish for him is total recovery someday......................

~ Anyone going to the Corvette Bash at the end of this month? Held at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I will be there April 23rd-26th.
All Corvette events are always worth attending but this one ranks up there because of it's location...And speaking of location...the Indy 500 has another Corvette
to Pace the Race in Indianapolis, Indiana...that is one race that I have never attended but it's on my bucket list.

~Indy 500 Pace Car announced...for May 2019.

~Deliveries this week...every model across the USA...just as Chevrolet intended.

~Phil and Dixie Y. Of Buffalo Grove, Illinois have owned 5 Corvettes and 8 weeks ago they ordered #6! Check out their new Elkhart Lake Blue 2019 Z06 Convt that they picked up Saturday!
Two months ago I gave Phil a sight unseen trade in value on his 2017 GS Convt with 20,000 miles and they placed the order. Two of the nicest people you could meet and I’m glad to call them my new Corvette friends.
Equipment list: Visible carbon fiber exposed weave Stinger hood insert and tonneau inserts, Black microfiber interior seat inserts with Red stitching, 7 Spd manual transmission, 10 spoke Blade pearl wheels, and 3 LZ Pkg
round out this stunning Z06 drop top. Dealer Rater review from Phil...In all my years as a Corvette Forum member, times at The Bash, Bloomington and Carlisle I have never heard anything but outstanding reviews of Mike and Criswell. It was time to trade my 17 Grand Sport and order a 19 Z06 while I can still get a manual trans Corvette. I called Mike and the deal was generated over the phone and a few emails in an hour. He knows what he's doing, he knows Corvettes and clearly knows his customers. It was an excellent and very fair deal. Mike is a nice guy as well. Check out his posts - they are museum quality.
He kept me in the loop thru the build and delivery process. This weekend we drove out from the Chicago area with our sight unseen GS trade, picked up our new Corvette and motored back home. Now that's a good time.
Everything I heard about Mike is true. I've bought many cars and a bunch of Corvettes. This experience was special from start to finish. Very impressive.
Great car too. " Phil of Illinois.

~Mr R. Of Northern New Jersey has now bought 3 new Corvettes and 1 new Tahoe from me over the last several years. Each time he brings me bakery goods as he knows my family enjoys the food from his area.
His new Long Beach Red Z06 replaces his 7,000 mile 2017 GS that I had given some trade in numbers two months ago.
Equipment list: Long Beach Red with Black Interior and Red seatbelts, 10 spoke Blade Pearl Wheels, 2LZ Pkg, 7 spd manual trans and black calipers.

~Fred K. of Beverly, New Jersey was referred to me and he waited for his ZR1 allocation to come up so he could order his dream Corvette. This is ZR1 # 2102 and is painted in Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic with Adrenaline Red interior,
Red calipers, Red seat belts, Auto transmission and 3ZR Pkg. Stunning from head to toe, Fred is thrilled with his 10th Corvette. He wanted this exact color combo from day one and was willing to wait for it.

~David M. of Seal Beach, California found me on the Internet and placed his Factory order of a Black 2019 Grand Sport Convt to be drop shipped for Courtesy delivery at his local Chevrolet dealer in Huntington Beach, California.
His new Corvette arrived on April 3rd and he drove away with it on the 4th (Thursday).
Dave ordered his GS Convt to have two tone Adrenaline Red interior, CF badge Pkg, Red calipers, Auto transmission, Black Wheels, Navigation/PDR, 2LT Pkg and Black Convt Top. Now let the top dropping fun begin!!

~~Eric J. of Damon, Texas called me last week as he was seeking a great deal on a new Corvette. We looked thru my Rather large Corvette inventory (160+ Corvettes in stock)
And narrowed it down to a few and then one. Eric picked out a Black with Adrenaline Red interior 2019 Corvette Stingray Cpe with 1LT Pkg, Carbon Flash Badge Pkg, Red calipers,
Auto transmission, Performance Exhaust and Black Wheels. Plycar Trucking will pick it up and enclose trailer it to Eric’s home in Texas.

~~Casey P. Of Layton, Utah was referred to me and he wanted to order a fully loaded 2019 Z06 Convt in Racing Yellow. He owns a '77 Corvette and with his Father and brother own 5-6 older Corvettes all in need of restoration but it was always a dream of his to get a new Corvette...well his dreams were answered when he WON this Corvette experience! This past Tuesday was his special delivery day at the National Corvette Museum...
Read below in his own words how it all came about for his GRAND PRIZE...

"I work at a company called Nice inContact, and I sell contact center management software. I’ve been with the company for 13 years, and in sales for about 6 years or so.
In 2018 I had a great year. I was our top performing/top selling field enterprise sales rep, meaning I sold more than anyone else in the entire company. There are about 100+ people that have similar roles to me, in some capacity.

The award I’m getting is basically our GRAND PRIZE, meaning that the top reps in the company were entered into a drawing for the “Experience of a Lifetime”. This is meant to be a bucket list item…meaning if you could do/go anything you want…what would it be. $100K budget. The company expected I would do something like first class arrangements to the Oscars, or the Masters Golf tourney, or tour the Caribbean in a private yacht, etc.

I asked them, and ultimately they approved my experience being the purchase of and delivery of a new Corvette from the NCM in Bowling Green. My brothers, dad and I are Corvette enthusiasts at our core. We have a collection of vettes..mostly older, and ranging from junk heaps to show cars. I personally have a 1977 that we just finished doing a complete restoration on. Everything from the frame up basically – and I will keep/love it forever.

This opportunity to get a new Z06 is so crazy and outrageous…it’s truly a top bucket list item …and something I would NEVER otherwise be able to do. It’s completely awesome… and my family and friends will be there with me to get it. Still is hard to believe."
Casey P of Utah

Equipment list: Competition Seats, 7 spd manual trans, Visible cf hood insert, Visible CF ground effects Pkg, cf Instrument panel, 10 spoke Blade Pearl Wheels, 3LZ Pkg and yellow stitching and much more!
Plycar Trucking will enclose trailer it from KY to his home in Utah.

~~Matt and Sandy W. of High Springs, Florida had the whole family involved when they experienced the R8C Corvette Museum Delivery this past Saturday in Bowling Green, KY.
This Extremely sleek looking 2019 Grand Sport Cpe is headed South to their Florida home.

~The Frank Class Corvette Barn find and throwback section....you know the drill...post up which pic(s) is your favorite.

First of all, Happy Birthday to Tyler! I wish I had known, I would have brought Birthday appropriate pastries.

My favorite this week? hmmmm, I wonder which one

Thanks again Mike for getting me back into a Z06 after my first one 15 years ago. It was great to see you and thanks for making yesterday another memorable day in my life. It's supposed to hit 65* here today, time to get out and take care of that 500 mile break in mileage.

Great read as always Mike. Happy Birthday Tyler!

Idk if I could handle a black Corvette but.... my OCD has become less pronounced over this corvette ownership experience? but then again it's gray so maybe I'm spoiled now lol. Though, If I could swing a black Corvette (which imo is the nicest looking of all) I have to say all of those you delivered in this thread look fantastic especially with the red interior and calipers.

That ZR1 color combo was also fantastic.

And what a story with the sales rep. Just great stuff Mike.

Thanks for taking the time every week to do it. Best way to start out a beautiful Sinday.

Happy birthday to Tyler and my prayers for his total recovery.

The new Vettes your customers bought are outstanding! All great looking Vettes! After seeing the first Z06 with the 10 spoke blade wheels I thought to myself we don't see those wheel as often as we should. I am a huge fan of those wheels! And then the second Z06 shown had the blade wheels. What a surprise. Two guys with great taste in Corvettes and wheels.

Thanks for sharing the news about the pace cars. There are a lot of pace cars parked in that picture.

And thanks as always for posting the throwback pictures. I will go with this one this week. Have a great week.

Besides loving all the nostalgic pictures, it's so interesting to read about all the people buying cars from you! The stories are very interesting.

I have to show some love for my good friend, Dana Forrester, this week. Dana lives in the Kansas City area and is a personal friend. Plus, he's a legend in the world of Corvette......

Bill Allen Chevrolet used to be in KC. In his Facebook post about this picture, Dana remembers their TV and radio commercials saying, "Bil Bill, Allen Allen". That was their "hook". He said it drove him nuts because he remembers those commercials so well. But now they have a Dana Forrester original out of it!

Your Sunday photos are always fantastic - and they just get better and better every week. The bright yellow C4 really reached out and grabbed me this morning - and I am not generally a huge fan of the 4th Generation cars. That one turns heads for sure!

My second choice is the advertisement for the 1967 Chevrolet lineup. Be it the lightweight Nova (Chevy II), the sporty Camaro SS/RS, the pavement-pounding Chevelle SS396, the full-size beast called the Impala SS or the awesome Corvette, Chevrolet had a performance-oriented vehicle to suit anyone's taste.

Oh, what I would not do to have a 1967 or 1968 Impala SS427 ragtop - 4spd, blue or white exterior with black interior! (I loved those cars before I even had any desire to own a Corvette.) If I could not have one of those big Impalas, I would be quite happy with a Marina Blue 1967 with a big-block and a 4spd manual transmission.

P.S. Happy Birthday and best wishes to Tyler this morning!! I hope he enjoys some of those bagels.
