Detailing advice
Great question.
Remember, all power polish is not the same. Different brands will react differently on various painted surfaces.
Please note: The high speed rubbing action of the polishing bonnet upon the surface of an automobile can build a static charge on the metal portion of your tool. This can result in a very short mild electric shock when the metal area of the tool is touched, and will be more noticeable on days when humidity is low.
My weapon(polisher) of choice, Dewalt-DWP849X

Many thanks,

BUT I am 72 and have been doing my bicycles, autos and motorcycles since I have been 12 yrs old, 61 yrs! ( close enough, I will be 73 in August ) and now I can afford AND deserve to be spoiled a bit. I just don't want to do damage to any of my 3 autos, 3 motorcycles and 3 riding mowers & my sons cars and trucks, so I am asking questions and reading up on the subject as much as possible before I start . But I think help coming from the minds of our club members who have been down the road already will be a great starting point.
Thank you,
Rich
