Disconnecting the noise canceling wires only fixes one of several problems with the Bose system. If you want to do it right you must get a factory interface unit. The Bose system has an automatic built in EQ that is volume based. This "feature" can't be turned off via any settings in the radio, you have to by-pass the factory amp to remove the audio processing.
