Default Side mirrors on a C7

Do the side mirrors on a C7 fold in when you turn off the car or do you have to do that manually?

There is no power folding mirror option on the C7.

Would be nice if they were powered but they are not.

I was concerned it might be a problem and no mirror to mirror measurement before I got my Septermeber 2013 built C7.

I have three 8 foot garage doors. The molding to molding width is 93.5 inches. Turns out the mirror tip to mirror tip is 85 inches and have had no issues with my Z51 or now Grand Sport.

The rear fender width on the Z51 was 73.9 inches and the Grand Sport’s wider rear fenders (same as Z06/ZR1) is 77.4 inches. The mirror to mirror tip width is the same.

Before I received my Z51 I built a right (passenger) side alarm set to warn if that mirror tip hits a flexible limit switch. It would be useful at night when backing out. It tripped once in ~5 years! I always pull in keeping the driver’s side mirror tip about 3 inches from the left side molding. That gives 5.5 inches on the right. When I pull out I try to have about that same 3 inches or less. Easy to judge that distance and leaves plenty of safety margin.

PS: Takes quite a bit of force to fold the mirrors.
