Default Emblem removal

Hello,
How many of us have removed the "C O R V E T T E" letters and or the flags ( front and rear ) from our beloved mistresses ?? I know how its done, I am thinking about just removing the CORVETTE from the rear. ( will that make her weigh less ?
Thanks,
Rich
Back in the day we removed ALL of the emblems from our "old timers"! Guess what, now WE are the old timers

A bodyman uses nylon fishing line. Cut a piece and pull it through the adhesive.

I removed mine before paint correction and clear wrapped. Not going back on. I don’t like the corvette emblem on the back.

Warm up the letters with a hair dryer, slide dental floss or monofilament fishing line under the offending item(s), easy peasy.

Yeah, like I said, I know the process, just a survey of who HAS and who HAS NOT removed them .When I removed the old style you had to fill the holes, even in 1967 my Chevelle had holes in the body.
" Does anyone know when they started using double back tape to adhere the emblems ??"
Thanks,
Rich

Rich, mine are still there. I kinda like 'em where they are. But, that's just me, so others may disagree.

Dang, that reads like a haiku........

I'm going to have to add some ballast in back. The rear end has gotten very loose. I just like the clean look. Debating removing the fish also. Can't remove the flags because there is an indent.

All that's left on my black Stingray are the black flags, front & rear... and that's only because of the indentations they fit in.

I like the emblems/script on mine so they will not be removed.

First thing I did...also replaced chrome flags with black since there is no chrome on the car. Without the Corvette script on the back its funny how many have come up to me thinking its some sort of Italian exotic..."What the hell is that...?"

Corvette emblem and stingrays are gone. All three cross flags changed from chrome to the darker ones.

Looks a lot better without, did it on my C7. Dental floss and a hair dryer gets most of it off, goo gone for the rest. Be patient, it comes off but it takes some time.
