So, I took a safe gamble and ordered the Katech diffuser fins/strakes that marry up to their carbon fiber rear valance. When I called them, they would not guarantee fitment since its made for their product, however their product is molded off the stock piece. After pulling off the rear upper and lower valance/bumper covers I installed the fins pretty easily. They didn't come with a template, however it wasn't difficult to line up appropriately due to them conforming to the specific contours. Pics below!
Good job on the install. While I have not yet slapped any on my realatively new 19 GS, on my 16 Z51 (pkg.) I went with the ACS in CFlash, I like the size and thickness of those along with the CF matching existing paint.
While at regular non track speeds I highly doubt these are beneficial from a performance perspective (like a lot of mods). Thats cool to me thats the other half of my passion about these cars ...mod on

Agreed, I have always loved the look. The higher end cars have these types of aero parts as standard/optional equipment. The vette, capable of being a high performance track car, similar to exotics, could use a bit more options.
I have taken most of the plastic aero parts off the car and replaced it with carbon fiber (front splitter, canards, front wickers, side skirts, rear wickers, and now the diffusers. I've gotten it to a point I like, the rest of the plastics will slowly get replaced. I really want to replace the spats with CF next.
Totally agree! Subtle fins here and there add to the "exotic" look of the car and the way it should be. Still not sold on the big ZR1 back fin though.
Car looks great!

The ACS ones were an option as well.
Thanks man!

I'm glad you like them... I don't. To my eye they look the most "stuck on" of any such aftermarket "strakes" I've seen to date. But, good for you!
Thanks man. People can learn from this response and how you stated your opinion without sounding like too much of a know it all/opinionated jerk. :0)
What's ironic is that I feel the others are chunky and have that stuck on look. I was looking for a slim profile and ridged build. Shows how people's opinion differ.
Sorry to bring back from the dead, but after seeing the price on the ACS ones I just picked up four of these for the same price... How have they held up? Any need to clear coat them or anything?
