Tow Hook
I own a 15 Z51 that I installed a Z06 front grill on. The grill was purchased from Cultrag. The receiver on the grill has a metal plate over it. It appears that the grill has to be removed in order to expose the receiver.
A friend of mine also has a Z51 with a Z06 grill. He did not have the plate covering the receiver. Should this plate have been removed when the grill was installed or is my grill just not normal?

Pics would help here. No Z06 grille I have ever seen had a plate covering where the tow hook installs.

Sounds like you’re looking where the blank is on the far passenger side. The receiver is 6” or so towards the center. If you’re looking in the right place, you need to post a pic. This is the only pic I have handy, but you can see where the tow hook mounts relative to the edge.

you mention a plate on the grille, there should be no plate on a Z06/GS grille.

Yours looks like one of these without the receiver but, I cant exactly tell from the photo though because its not clear.
EDIT: I just saw where some of the early 2015 Z51's did not have them either.... (2015's built in 2014 did not have a receiver.)

You can get tow straps that attach to the jacking puck slots if you don't have a receiver. (Assuming you didn't just want the hook for looks.)
