No manual, no me. I really can't imagine buying a sports car with an auto. Yeah I know they are quicker but it's part of the enjoyment for me to shift and paddles really don't cut it.

I am actually tempted to trade my '18 GS for a 19 Z06. kinda like the thought of having the last model year of the C7...

I'm actually hoping parts for the C7 will lower in price with the C8 coming out (even minimally would be better than nothing)

So far, I have NO interest in the C8.I have dealer friends in the Chev brand,so I will give one a drive shortly after it is on the lots.

Waiting for the C9. My C7Z will suit me fine until they've had at least a full generation of developing an ME car before I would dare by one.

Making this car so cheap to fit the bill I am very wary of what is going on under the new skin lol

I'm laughing at all those who believe the sky is falling regarding the C7 pricing falling through the floor.

I am glad that I got my C7 (factory order) when I did as I prolly can't afford the C8 anyways. The pricing on the C7 was pretty good (by Canadian standards). Also, I wanted manual so who knows if the C8 will offer one.

I will bet a silver dollar that the C9 is an electric vehicle.

Nothing. I need trunk space to take trips with the wife. I have a convertible and I don't see a convertible with the C8. Mid engine is nice but my life won't go to hell in a basket if I don't get one.

I like my C7.

I said at the beginning the C/7 was butt ugly and I still think it is, but I have one done the way I wanted it. As bad as I thought the C/7 was the pics I have seen so far of the C/8 is even uglier , those side pods look like a giant whale with it's mouth open. Added to the fact that it trying to look like a prancing pony. why didn't G/M come up with a design that was it's own design.

Every mid engine sports car looks the same. You can't get rid of those side pods and I have no idea how GM can make,a,ME Corvette with a design all their own when it's not.

I'd wait and buy a C8. The C6 427 convertible was the last one "to have." Turns out, the C7 was 100% more desirable to have...

My 2014 C7 is just fine so I don’t plan on purchasing the C8—I am still continuing the mods on my C7, as I love showing off my Corvette at car shows. In fact, I take ‘The Lion King’ to car shows in both Texas and in Louisiana and have won many awards with my car. Since my Corvette only has about 15k miles on it now (and I bought it New in January 2014), there is no need for me to buy a C8, as my car is still almost “new” imo. Of course, I realize many times everyone, including myself, don’t need ______ ( just fill in the blank) but want something so we buy it. I’ve never been interested in a mid engine car although I can love and appreciate mid engine cars others do own.

Storage space is critical and I'm thinking it will not be a fit for me but time will tell. First year issue cars are not for me, won't get serious until they are at the GS level at a minimum and I'm guessing that is going to be at least 3 years away.
This sums it up for me. The day GM made the C8 announcement, and confirmed there will no longer be a FE Corvette, I immediately started looking for a 2019 GS. I’m in process of trading in my 2016 Z51 on a 2019 GS. With 16% discounts and $3K loyalty rebates, it’s a great time to buy IMHO. And I’ll be ordering various upgrade parts for the new GS later this week. There is no way I’d rush to buy a newly redesigned first year car of any kind. YMMV. Enjoy whatever it is you drive.

I’ll enjoy my 18 GS for a bit longer. I’ve been fortunate to have two other C7s a 14 base 3LT and a 17 Z51 2LT. Love my Grandsport enough that I can wait before considering the C8

I hope the bugs are worked out by the second or third model year of the ME. I have 96,000 on mine and I'm afraid it'll be worn out before the third model year of the ME.
