So the strangest thing has happened over the past few months. I have a 2017 M7 GS that I bought new in 2017. KBB site has a "track my car's value" feature. You get an email alert every few months with the latest estimated value for your car. A few months ago I got an update indicating that my GS had gained 2% in value! Then just this week I got another update indicating an additional 2% increase in value. I'm sure it's just a glitch in KBB's calculation method, but who knows, maybe the end of the front-engine rear-drive era is going to preserve the value of the C7 a little.

Have to wonder if they are taking into account the return of driving weather across the country. In any case, not convinced that the end of the FE models would cause a jump in price. Would be great if it were true though.
Well, a small percentage of C7's are stick. They won't be making anymore with the C8 and supply and demand dictates the current market pricing so it's very possible that they are appreciating. I'm surprised that the price of used C7's in general are as high as they are so that's a good thing for the present owners.
The trend line of sales prices in the used C7 market can wiggle all over the place because of umpteen factors.
..JALLEN, long time former GM Cadillac dealer can give us chapter and verse on this topic, I'm sure.... However, in general, it'll never be worth more in terms of dollars than it is right now. Plus or minus a few grand.
I bought our 2016 C7 in ‘17 from a Mazda dealer that was going BK. I paid $46500 net before taxes and fees. Out the door it was worth $56 grand according to Kelly BB. It’s still worth a tad more according to KBB.
Its all about what you’re into it for and how long you keep it.
