Default 4/28/19 Many Corvette Del's, Bash pics, Next Gen Camo pics, *Mike Furman@Criswell*

~I attended the Corvette Bash in Bowling Green, KY this week and came away with many thoughts that I will share with you.
Corvette enthusiasts have a great love for everything Corvette and each other. The Museum tour was fantastic and always changing to
share the passion to all folks of all ages. I was also able to receive a gifted "***** Wonka" tour of the plant from customer and friend JW of Lawton, OK (again TY).
The plant before tours shut down July 2017 was 1 million sq ft and 22 acres under roof is now 1.5 million sq ft and 33 acres under roof.
The new paint facility is 21st Century cool and came away wowed! I was inside the Corvette Plant the morning of Mary Barra's announcement
of 400 more employee's to be added and the current employee's could not have been more thrilled.
*Two side notes...many folks expressed their thanks for my Sunday morning delivery threads and Barn Find Corvette Throwback pics. Great to hear so thank you.
also...many people that know my sons story still reach out and that touches me. I may get emotional about it at times but it's ok and I thank you for all the concern.
Last Monday just before I left for BG,KY he had another surgery and it will be another 4-6 months before we know how his recovery stands.
Here is a past thread for those of you that don't know the back story.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...or-my-son.html

~Selling my beloved 1967 Corvette cpe...please pass this on to someone you know may be interested.
https://www.vettefinders.com/index.c...e-for-sale.htm
I lowered the price to $94,500.

~Delivery pics/stories from this past week... *I have probably had close to 400 of my customers choose R8C Corvette Museum Delivery and this past week
I flew down and surprised my Corvette customers from North Carolina to attend their special day.

~Mike and Candie H. of Summerfield, North Carolina drove 6 hours to Criswell and meet me and place their factory order for a new 2019 Z06 Corvette and then turned around and drove 6 hrs home.
This is Corvette #7 for them and the first Corvette in 13 years, they have owned countless Motorcycles.
So this past Tuesday at the National Corvette Museum they had the red carpet rolled out for them...little did they know I hopped on the 6:20am flight out of Baltimore and landed in Nashville 700 miles away
at 7:30am central time and rented a car to be at the Museum before they arrived. I had a Semi Pro Photographer meet us there and take some great pics We had an absolute blast together and I even took the
guided tour with them thru the Museum. We ended up having Lunch together as well as
I invited them to a local desert party at our friends Adam and Katie's house, dinner at Montana Grille with a group of ten others...you name it we did it. I don't believe one could have a better Delivery experience...but I will certainly try!
Equipment list on their 2019 Elkhart Lake Blue Z06 Cpe : code 198 Black with microfiber insert comp Seats, Visible carbon fiber hood insert, Visible cf ground effects Pkg, Visible CF roof panel, chrome badge Pkg, 7 spd manual trans, chrome wheels, 3LZ Pkg and blue stitching.

Here is their DealerRater review they just posted..."We ordered our 2019 Z06 from Mike after coming out to the dealership and testing a few cars and talking with mike about options and styles. We decided to make our new vette special by taking delivery at the national corvette museum. And guess what- Mike showed up at the museum and stayed with us for the entire delivery process. We even toured the museum together and learned about the history of the Corvette from both Mike and our personal museum guide. I know this isn't something he can do with everybody (He was scheduled to be at the museum for an event the next day so he bumped it up a day just for us!) but Mike really did go the extra mile for us. He's a great guy, he'll treat you right and he'll help you wade through all the options and chose the right car. Highly recommended."

~Dan H. of Auburn, Washington reached out to me to factory order a 2019 ZR1 a long time ago and his dream 755 HP Corvette is almost in his hands. I had it drop shipped 3,000 miles away to his local Chevrolet dealer in Enumclaw, WA for Courtesy delivery.
The paperwork/ payment process is almost completed via Fed Ex back and forth. ZR1 #2011 just arrived at the dealer in the Northwest and should be safely tucked in Dan’s garage any day now. Dan ordered his ZR1 Cpe in Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic with Black Competition Seats,
7 spd manual, chrome badges, chrome wheels, Jake logo center caps, ZTK Track Performance Pkg, Blue stitching and 3LZ pkg! I can’t wait to see this ZR1 unwrapped and prepared for delivery. *These pics are from before PDI.

~Len B. Of Jupiter, Florida had his Corvette Museum delivery delayed 1 month due to health issues that popped up. He was so appreciative of everything the Museum employees did for him and couldn’t thank them enough
for their patience and job well done! This is the 2nd Red C7 that Len has bought from me. The first was a 2014 that he picked up at Criswell.

~Rich S. of Reed City, Michigan called me when the Grand Sports first came out in 2017. Last year(and this year) we spent a ton of time at the Bash in Bowling Green and he called two weeks ago to set in motion procuring a new in stock Torch Red 2019 Grand Sport Corvette Cpe with Kalahari Interior. I gave Rich a sight unseen value on his Red 1993 Corvette Cpe and the deal was made. Plycar picked up and brought me his 93 while the Paperwork/payment procedure was being completed via Fed Ex. This week I saw Rich in KY again for the Bash and then Plycar will ship him his new GS Corvette mid week. Equipment list: Red calipers, Auto transmission, chrome wheels, Navigation/PDR and 2LT Pkg.

~Surprise the wife with a brand new Corvette Convt at the Corvette Museum! The Museum was all abuzz Tuesday as two great supporters of the Museum were on hand with many volunteers and friends.
John Fort surprised his wife Carol and the whole crowd cheered!!

~Nick C. of Denver, North Carolina called me a couple weeks ago to get a sight unseen trade in value for his crystal red 2012 GS Corvette that was stored down in Florida. Nick picked out of stock a Elkhart Lake Blue 2019 Grand Sport Cpe with two tone Gray/ Black Interior.
We made the deal and he had Plycar ship his Corvette North to Criswell while we completed the paperwork/payment process via Fed Ex. Today the Happy couple of 32 years drove up in a rental car and got familiar with their new Corvette to drive back to North Carolina.
Equipment list: Auto transmission, chrome wheels, 2LT Pkg, Navigation/PDR and much more.

~Dan R. of Radnor, PA called me two weeks ago and said he wants a new Yellow Corvette with 7spd manual transmission but couldn’t decide on a Z06 or Grand Sport...he also had a 2018 Subaru WRX that he needed a value on to make the numbers work.
I gave him a sight unseen trade in value and invited him down for test drives in both Corvettes. Dan easily chose the Z06 and drove home thrilled with his Race Yellow 2019 Z06 Cpe. Equipment list: Black Interior, 1LZ Pkg, CF hood stripe, Yellow calipers,
Black Wheels, 7spd manual transmission and much more.

~The next Generation Corvette sighted at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY yesterday...Now we all know that July 18th, 2019 is the Reveal
but that doesn't mean you call on July 19th to start the ordering process I will most likely be at the Reveal and will fill all my customers in
upon my return...so have patience.

~Pics from the Corvette Bash this past week in BG, KY...

~A big shout out and thanks for my semi pro photographer, friend and customer himself... that drove 2+ hrs to take some great pics of my customers R8C delivery...thanks Ken!!

~The Frank Class Corvette Barn Find and throwback pics section...please post up your favorite.

When you come to the fork in the road...take it.

50 1986 Malcolm Konner Editions.

~Have a great week!

My first Corvette was a 1985 C4 that I bought used in 1990 with 12,000 miles on it in Michigan. I had no idea it was a Malcom Konner Edition until todays post. You have so many Gold Corvettes toady I felt this was done just for me since I always react to Gold. I want a Gold C7 but GM doesn't offer it.
My picture is taken on the Indianapolis 500 track.

My marginal mug appeared twice and I haven't even gotten the car yet. It was great to meet you after our phone and email contacts. We can't wait for our (second) R8C day. All good wishes for your son's full recovery. Thank you for your regular Sunday posts. Like everyone else I look forward to them.

I love this color. My father had a 1965 Corvair Corsa convertible in a similar color. I think it was called Tahitian Turquoise.

GM should make the first 100 C8 cars only in camo,

that would freak people out
