Default C7 splash guards

I need to add splash guards to my 2015 Corvette stingray. Lots of road rocks where I live. ACS seems to be the best bet.... they have an enhanced splash guard and also an XL splash guard ..... The basic difference is two things: price and wheel coverage. The XL set of four guards is $500...the 4 wheel set of enhanced is around $245....the difference is that the XL goes out about an inch farther from the car body to cover the entire wheel....is it worth it?

I put about 3k miles on my car and noticed I had slight pitting on the rear quarter panels in front of the rear wheels. The GS and Z06 are more susceptible because of the wider fenders. I bought the ACS enhanced front guards and GM rear guards from ACS and it stopped any further damage. I'm at over 8k miles now and they're doing just great so I don't think the XL is really necessary. Never noticed any damage behind the rear wheel before the GM guards were put on but I was thinking preemptively.

Edit: I just looked at the XL splash guards and they're a real eye sore. just my opinion

Thanks so much for your response..... I want to put on my car what is necessary to protect it..... however the XL Guards seem excessive not only in price but in how far out they come from the car.....

Put on the XL and they are hardly noticeable. Go for them!! The dealer installed them is 20 minutes before I left the dealership.

I was torn between the enhanced and XL for my Z51. I finally settled on the enhanced with GM rear guards as well as the stage three side skirts, all from ACS. Partly due to price but mostly because the XL’s look like semi truck mud flaps. My biggest concern was protecting the leading edges of the side skirts and the enhanced guards seem to be doing the job. The rear guards will protect the front edge of the rear bumper in the area in front of and below the marker light. I was getting nicks there prior to the guards.

Gonna need skirts or ppfilm.Expel has been the norm without skirts on stingray. GM Guards with full skirts no film.Maybe 2 chips at 15k miles on the wider body.Like the stealth GM Look

Some chipping can be also controlled by staying out of the gutter and when you hear the crap hitting your skirts if you get them...Slow down.
Fast turns on debris filled roads are another
Mother Chipper!

I went with the GM splash guards, Xpel paint protection film and a set of Z06 style side skirts. Seems like that combination has been very effective in preventing rock chips on the sides of the car.

I went with the GM (front and rear) on my Stingray and they seem quite adequate to me.

The enhanced won't stop the blasting on the rear qtrs. at least on wide body cars. I had them then switched to XL's when they were introduced. IMO nothing is really needed on the rear.

I agree, I have GM front and rear on my GS and along with the OEM skirts have no damage even thought I have run through some unexpected construction zones where I could hear undersides being pelted by debris.
I like how the OEM blend in and feel GM designed them as large as they needed to be.

I too have the GM mudguards on my GS. I think they look the best on the car and do offer some protection.
