Today when I went into reverse to backup the camera angle had changed? It is showing me my license plate and not a lot of the 'back' area? It may be a coincidence but I did a 'software' update yesterday(maps) and so today this quirk shows. I cannot believe a map update would do this? but could it?
Is there a way to adjust the angle? is there a way of changing the view so that not so much of the 'down' area is showing?
This is my 'view' on the back up camera. Maybe I'm just getting senile.....but I do not remember seeing my license plate ?????? in the view before??? I know the camera is a 'fixed' camera so it has not changed. Just wondering if 'software' can be adjusted so as not to show the 'bottom' part(license plate).

Reason: clarification
I see my Plate is in the view and as far as I can remember it was always in view.
Have not done any updates and your view looks like it's normal to me and, looks the same as what I see in mine.
I will say though, just the other day I noticed the Plate and thought, has that always been in the view ?
But, I'm also always looking at the lines in the view, or surrounding objects in the view as I'm backing up.
Not to high-jack this thread, but does anyone else feel the camera misleads you on how much space you have side to side? When I am backing up I get uncomfortably close to things on the back corner, either side. I don't really trust the camera unless I am looking for something directly behind me, within a few fee of the bumper.

Not a high-jack at all. When I'm at the red line with a curb, I still have 2 feet behind mine. With those of you with the lens pointing lower (see my post above), I can see that coming into play.
Seeing the license plate is normal. You should always see part of the plate. I have noticed some show a little more than others, but what you show in your picture is normal.

I'll second that. Wish the had a higher resolution camera. I have always been uncomfortable using the camera and still have to visually check things out myself. I just use it as an aid for things straight behind me. I know the grid line is 30 inches away.
