Properly adjusted mirrors are a must. In any car.

Here’s a graphic. Proper adjustment will feel weird at first. Then you have to practice practice practice. Watch vehicle in the rear view in each lane, and watch how it transitions to the side view BEFORE it’s gone from the rear view. If it’s not doing this, the mirrors are still not right. Keep practicing until you have confidence. Could take weeks. You can also add the small blind spot mirrors to each side as a backup.
I don’t care for the big blind spot mirror that is the size of the original mirror. If you have the dimming mirrors, they won’t work any more.

Exactly, most people don’t understand that side mirrors are not to view behind their car, If you can see the doors they are miss positioned. Have someone stand in the blind spots and adjust them to be in the middle of the mirror, it will take a while to get used to the difference, but they will do the job as intended.

There is no reason (except when backing up) to see the side of your car. You always know where your car is, but knowing what is around you is key.

...just kidding! The blind spots can be easily resolved by mirror adjustments on top of knowing your environment while on the road. I seem to be more "alert" when driving my Grand Sport in general vs the daily driver.

Have not found the driver's side "blind spots" to be an issue with my C7. After 50+ years of riding motorcycles, I always do a head check in addition to a mirror check before changing lanes.
