P2 for the #3 and P8 for the #4 today due to "driveline issues" after spending time in the garage. The #3 got shuffled during pit stops. I think Porsche and Ford have the best package right now, leaving Corvette and BMW to pick up the scraps. On to LeMans, things get tougher over there, Porsche just clinched the Manufacturers title in the WEC, and Aston Martin and Ferrari are added to the mix, 4 Fords, likely 2 BMW's, at least 2 Porsches, 2 Astons and 2 Ferraris and the usual sandbagging on test day.

A P2 finish is great oppose to the gains in performance the Porsche and Ford camps have this season.Sad to say the only way for a CORVETTE Victory is problems with the these two manufacturers. All four cars. What are the chances?
BOP Needs to keep the Balance.Well it's a PORSCHE Turn
It's Business decision. All about the Numbers.
Great Effort by Team Corvette

I do think Porsche wins the Manufacturers title this year though, unless Corvette goes on a HUGE run. The sad part is we're right there, but the pit work this year has been just that little bit off, and the others are catching up. Ford will probably be Factory supported customer cars next season, they've already sold a GT to Ben Keating to run in GTE-AM at LeMans. It's looking more likely Ford will move to DPi, but hopefully they'll still support the GT in GTLM, I'd hate to see them leave. Racing is only worth racing if you can beat the best, and as much as we Corvette guys want to see the C7R's in victory lane every race, it takes good competition to make our cars and team better.

I was at Mid-Ohio and boy, was it muddy! My black Z06 needs a serious bath now!

Great day of racing, though. The grid walk, as usual, was one of my favorite parts. Heck, I even got on television (in the background) during a driver interview. Took lots of nice photos, too.

I'm pretty happy with P2 for Corvette Racing, but am getting tired of the Porsches most often running the fastest. The BOP needs to be tweaked just a bit (although the television crew seemed to think that because qualifying was close - less than a second difference between all 8 cars - that the balance is pretty good). Well, not when it comes to the actual race, it seems.

Anyway, I parked with a group of Corvettes, many of whom had Canadian license plates. Cool.

Can't wait until next year!

Yeah I just loved these cars then the stupid Cadillac racing came out with their P car. I hope the new race car looks like this and I'll be very happy.

No worries here bud.Come one ,come all.
Glad the Mods let it stay here in C7 General. We have the car and thanks to Racing we have one hell of a Hot Rod to Cruise in
I'm new at this type of Racing. It's the *****! Serious talent with 3 different cars on track at the same time.Got to be difficult setting up a pass, then you get smoked by a prototype passing you.
Another thing,no spotters.Your concentration is Maxed Out!
Obvious The Corvette ain't got the power.Clearly seen on a in car camera and listening to the car.The Ford and POOSH. Just pull away all the time.
Got to keep that balance or it would be Corvettes against Corvettes
Did anyone else go to the race? Mud on a Z Ain't good. Not good mud tires for sure

Great Job!!

The new car is going to look like the C8. While I liked the looks of the Corvette DP, it had so little to do with the Corvette, it was hard for me to get excited for. The C8.R I can get excited for though:

I just spent about 3 hours yesterday washing my baby. First, a traditional soap and water wash (with microfiber mitt and drying towels, of course), then a waterless wash in case I missed any spots. Finally, I finished with the wheels and tires.

When Mrs. DGA3 came home from work, she exclaimed: "Wow, your car looks great!" so I guess my hard work paid off.

It was worth it, though, to attend the Mid-Ohio race. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a Corvette victory.

On a side note: I checked the health app on my iPhone and found that I took 17,000 steps that day and walked 6.5 miles!

Cleaning mud off ain't a lot of fun, got that at Watkins Glen a bit last year. You should make the trip to Sebring, it was really good this March (except for the rain) with the 1,000 mile WEC race running on Friday and the 12 Hours running on Saturday. The P1 Hybrids in the WEC are probably the fastest race cars on the planet, a Porsche 919 P1 Hybrid recently set the Nürburgring outright lap record at 5:19, for reference a time of 8 minutes is hauling the mail, that's nearly 3 MINUTES faster. Those cars make the IMSA DPi's look pedestrian in comparison. Sebring being a bigger track than Mid Ohio, my health app for just Saturday during the 12 Hours showed just under 23,000 steps, can't recall the miles, but we did a LOT of walking that day. I plan on being at Watkins Glen again this year for the 6 Hours, and looking at Petit LeMans also, and the Daytona 24 and Sebring again in 2020. I did have tix for the Daytona 24 this year, but had to give them up due to a death in the family, but next year they should be running the C8R, really looking forward to that. Re the Porsche issue, I really can't understand why IMSA lets that car compete, there's no such thing as a mid-engine 911, just like BMW a couple years back running the V8 powered Z3M, another car that was only available as a race car. I know some complain about Ford running a $400k supercar in the GTLM class, but at least you can actually buy one, unlike the Porsche. Sorry about the rant, but I feel better now.
