Default Upgrade?

Well Gents ,
I am really getting the itch to upgrade from my 2004 C5 to a 2014 or 2016 C7. I have a particular car that I am interested in, The 2014 Torch yellow StingRay 2-3LT or the 2016 Lime Rock Green 2-3LT.

With that said, I am soliciting your vast storehouse of knowledge on prices. I live in NJ and found a 2014 2LT in South Amboy Mileage: 32108, VIN : 1G1YK2D77E5124642 which seems high on price. I also found a 2014 in Texas which would mean shipping and buying a car basically unseen.

What are your recommendations?

I suggest seeing the car in person before you buy it.

Well, I think you've got the years reversed on the two you're looking at. Lime Rock Green was a one and done color in 2014. So the green car is probably a 2014. If it isn't, then it's a repaint.
OK, to answer your question. I came from a 2004 C5 to a 2014 C7 purchased in 2016. So I completely understand where you are coming from and why you're looking at the C7. If you test drive a C7, you'll want to buy one and in my opinion, you should. It's an incredible car. Also, IMHO, the 2LT interior upgrades are totally worth it, especially if your C5 was a 1SB car. I would strongly recommend that you obtain the VIS report from GM before buying any used C7 to see if the car you're looking at was problematic. In case you're wondering, there is no reason to avoid the first year, 2014 cars. They are just as reliable as any of the following years. Also, I'd get both the Carfax AND the Autocheck reports as well as the VIS. All these documents are relatively easy to obtain, not expensive and contain a wealth of information about any potential purchase. Also, I never buy sight unseen. If you want the car in Texas, I'd recommend a flight out there or at least hire an inspector to review the car beforehand. There's an example from another forum member where he did hire an inspector and the report contained significant examples of why the car was abused.
Overall, go for it, the C7 is a great car.

I personally would not buy a used C7 with 32k on it when there are so many low mileage garage queens out there. Check the for sale section of this forum.

I agree with roadbike56. And it is hard to give you any advice on pricing when you don’t list what price is being asked for the cars.

And just FYI -- "2-3LT" isn't a trim level. Which is it? 2LT or 3LT?

If you would like good opinions, we'll need a LOT more details -- wheels, options, prices, mileages, interior colors, roof types, etc. And if you don't know all that information, you don't have enough info to even begin making a decision.
