I read somewhere plugging in the maintainer you should NOT plug in one end first.
Can't find it. Should I plug into the AC outlet first or the socket inside the hatch?
Larry
you first plug in the trunk and then into the 120 outlet. to remove unplug from 120 outlet then from the trunk. if this is the corvette charger, it should be on the tag on the cord.

I don't think it really matters. I've been doing it the opposite way for over 3 years with no problems!
I leave my ctek plugged in to the wall and remove the connection from the car and drop it on the ground. When I park, I simply attach the magnetic connection and walk away. Been doing this from day 1 and no issues.

except for the magnetic connection part (unless CTEK changed, it's what I have and it's a watertight male into female quick disconnect).
I ended up plugging into a power strip with an on / off switch. I just turn it off and then unplug the connection inside the hatch.
I don't want to take a chance of the AC plug arcing plugging in or out.
Also, the manual clearly states to unplug the AC first.
I have Ctek, Schumaker, and Black & Decker battery maintainers. The instructions for all of them say hook up to the car first, then plug in to the power source. Unplug from power source first before unhooking from the vehicle. I use them on cars and lawn tractors.
