Default Brake bedding

Those of you that did the brake bedding process, what kind of a road did you do it on? A highway when there is not a heavy traffic pattern, example, very early in the AM or very late in the PM . Or a back road with no traffic lights?
Thanks
Rich

I have not done it on my C7 yet but with my cars I have done it on , we have several warehouse districts that have long 4 lane roads going thru them and not much traffic on the weekends ..

I did it early on a Sunday morning on surface streets with a limit of 45mph, making all right turns around the section.

2-lane back road on a weekday evening. Checked the route beforehand to ensure it was long enough to drive without stopping while the brakes were cooling.

Yeah, that's what I am looking to find in my area.
Thanks again,

Have done it 4 times on my C7's.

First with 1000 miles on my C7 Z51 when it started to squeal like a stuck pig at slow speeds. Used the procedure in the Owner's Manual BUT not 25 times as if Tracking 5 or 6 repeats. I used the highway near my home when there was little traffic and then without using the brakes, downshifted for the entrance ramp and went on I95 for ~25 miles to let them cool. Came home and parked without the using the parking brake. Stopped all squealing!

However after 6 months was fed-up cleaning my wheels of dust so swiched to Carbotech pads. They no longer reconmned bedding of Vette Street pads because some used the aggressive Vette Manual Tracking procedure and they overheated. I use a less aggressive procedure they had posted some years before. Never had a problem with Carbotechs on my Z51 for 3 years and have them on my Grand Sport. Bedded those the same way, stop great and no noise.
