Check Engine light came on — steady. M7 gear number indicator light went out, came back on for a while, then out again. Rev Match not working when gear number not showing. Any ideas before I take it to the dealer (ugh)?
I had a similar issue about a year ago...I had SEVERAL other systems drop off line in addition to that..no cruise control, no backup camera...etct. Dealer was able to reset the internal fault. Haven't had anything pop up since. I guess an electron went Tango Uniform. All better now tho.
If there's a CEL, there's an error code stored.

It amazes me how many times this question is asked in a forum , there are literally 100's of codes
But checking the code and looking up the number in Google would usually set you in the right direction as to what caused the code, add in the fact that any cheap code reader will read 99 percent of the stored codes and if you dont have a reader you can go to any auto parts store ....
