I dont think anything will keep bugs from sticking to the windshield...however, when my Stingray was ceramic coated, all of the glass was coated also and comparing my Stingray windshield with bugs splattered on in to my truck windshield (not ceramic coated) the clean up on my Stingray is much much easier. Hope that helps.

Wash it with glass cleaner when it gets bugs on it.

Rain-X makes a glass cleaner/protector that seems to work well to make bugs easier to remove. It's called "Rain-X 2-in-1 Glass Cleaner + Rain Repellent." Comes in a spray bottle.

rodney123456,

Detail question:

Windshield Repellent, Special formulas, such as Rain-X is a synthetic hydrophobic surface-applied product that causes water to bead. Thus, also reducing bug splatter or staining.

Periodically changing wiper blades, at lease one a year. This will help keep the windshield cleaner by not spreading bug splat and dirt every time your switch the wipers on.

When all else fails, use coke, the coke acts like a mild solvent that breaks down the bugs for easy removal.

Many thanks,

Ray

I use McKee's 37 windshield coating. Works well for me; long lasting and easy to clean.

I don't use it very often but if you keep it re-applied I bet RainX would help a good bit.

I agree with using Rain-X. It works well when it comes time to clean the windshield.

Ceramic coating. Couldn’t own this car without it. Everything from bugs to tar wipes off with detail spray and no effort.

Sounds good. Do you know if it is okay to apply to Expel?

That I have never done before, but I have put it over everything else without issue. Heck I used on it my bathroom counters to make them slick and easy to clean.
