Long story short I called abut a black GS last week and they would not sell for auto trader price . Black was not my first choice anyhow and a lot of you said don't buy just because it would have been a steal.
So I found one that I do like but it is not "brand new"
'19 GS Long Beach Red Metallic GM corporate vehicle with 2,000 miles on it .2lt with PDR , GM certified pre owned.
The sticker was over $78000 and they were asking $63,980 and came down $500 to $63480 . Have had it for sell for 3 days .
So my question is , is the certified warranty worth paying a little extra for a car you like ?

The car is a 19. What do you need a certified warranty for? If they're asking $64k, you should be able to get them lower than $500 off. Maybe $61-62k.
All marketing hype. It still has the standard GM warranty. That's what matters. Seriously, you might wish to check the big dealers' Websites for new options, too. All the best, whatever you decide.
Certified on a virtually brand new car doesn't mean squat! It isn't going to get you any better or longer warranty coverage. If you like it and can get the price where you are comfortable, then you should buy and enjoy it.

This is completely false. A genuine GM CPO car has its bumper to bumper warranty increased to 4 years / 48k miles, it's powertrain warranty extended to 6 years / 100k (no deductible for either) along with 2 additional free oil changes added.
CPO adds the 6yr/100,000 powertrain warranty. no "new" chevy c7 has that now. it "may" be important around 60k as that is when most Direct Injection engines have accrued excessive carbon build up on the back of the valves, thereby impeding their full performance, (and the full performance of the engine) Funny, after offering the 6yr/100,000 miles powertrain warranty on the original 2014 C7, GM lowered it to 5yr/60,000 mile on newer vettes. hmn.
it also has a buyer's remorse 3 day 150mi turn it in for another GM product. no new C7 offers that. you get it home, discover it's been squirreled with, take it back, no questions asked. be sure to wash wax and detail it in that 3 day period:
Bought a GM Certified 2017 GS last month from a dealer with 6000 miles and it was love at first site. As I get more comfortable with the look and feel of the car I've noticed some oddities. While giving it a really careful hand wash, I found spider cracks on rear back bumper on corner. On further inspection I noticed that the bumper may have been repainted. I took it to a professional collision center and they confirmed my fear that not only the back bumper had been repainted but so was the back quarter panel and even the trunk lid!
lessee, former GM Exec car? just make sure it wasn't originally a blue ZR1 converted to a GS with a respray to lbr after a GM executive's incident with a wall. It has been demonstrated GM execs can't handle a high performance front-engined Corvette.
Since I just purchased a CPO I will add to Kvou812 comments. In addition to the added warranty, free 2 services, roadside assistance and loaner is extended to 6 years 100,000 miles. Also, you get on Star for 3 months. Also, you get brand new manuals and have to get two keys - this is part of the 172 inspection.

The car is virtually brand new and if it has been well maintained, has everything you want in terms of options and checks out mechanically and cosmetically, then it sounds like a decent deal. The warranty extension may be a good thing to have.

In my eyes it is a great looking car. The paint is a $1000 dollar option and the PDR is $1700 . I don't know how to post a link but it is at George Chevy in Bellflower Ca.

Not true CPO adds another year to you BTB and additional to PT !!
Dunno, as a used car, you don't know what kind of abuse the car has seen (even w/ a longer warranty period). I'd be more comfortable w/ a newly ordered car exactly as I want it (and broken in IAW manufacturers recommendations). But that's just me. It's always easier to spend someone else's money.
Check prices with Kerbeck before you pull the trigger. I was looking the other day and you could get a brand new GS from them for around ..... $59K!!!!
Check Kerbeck's website. You can probably get close to that on a new 19 GS. Their selection is incredible, and the sales department makes the process easy.
