I think you have to hold the traction control button down for a few seconds until the mode shows up in the DIC.

Put the car in Track Mode and push the center button twice quickly on the mode selector. It's covered in the OM

If you are in Track Mode it should go into performance traction mode. Are you certain you have the Z 51 package?

If this isn’t what your looking for I’m at a loss. I know there is a performance shifting mode with the autos. However I’m unsure if there is any message about it.

Just watch the video and did some research it says that the performance mode is in the Magnetic Ride package

Yes you need to have the dial behind the shifter to change modes. Not sure if that’s standard with Z51 option.

PTM is only available if your Z51 has Mag Ride (FE4).

This is the answer. The z51 can be had without the magnetic shocks. The mag ride is what you need for performance traction managment (PTM).
If you don't have magnetic shocks, it will go into competitive mode like you are describing.

I tried to use the Performance traction management on my 2016 Stingray with mag ride (non Z51)
I cannot get it either, just says competitive mode.
But my Mag ride is code FE2, not FE4. is there a difference? Is this why I dont have it?

Since the
Manua l specifically reads "...FE4," Dan, I'd say so.
