Blown Bose speaker
Hi. I just picked up a used 2014 Z51 last week and this was my first repair. There's a couple of videos on You Tube on how to safely remove the door panel. It seems the speakers are prone to getting dripped on inside the door. The housing starts to rust and the paper breaks away from the housing (Also lots of videos on You Tube about this). I was able to remedy this by using a small amount of gel adhesive and re-glue the paper to the housing. I've been using the car everyday since last Thursday when I picked it up and it's worked perfectly.
I did it and it's really simple. The hardest part is getting over the feeling of breaking the door panel when you hear the clips popping.
I ended up using exterior Gorilla Glue on the Spider (plastic to metal on back of speaker) and also used Honda Bond on another vehicle before. Both have worked well. I'd recommend sanding down the part that the plastic connects to in the spider and also following this video for removing the door and adding some anti-vibrations.
Make sure you have some 3M Double Sided tape and some felt tape. Skip 1:20 for it to start.

I haven't had to replace my Bose speakers but I've taken the door panels off plenty of times. It's super easy and doesn't take but maybe five minutes. If it doesn't sound like it's breaking than the clips are not coming loose. If you do break any clips they're only about $3 each online. I ordered a bag full of them before starting.
