Default Well, the hoodliner came back from airbrushing....

Sent the hood liner out to get airbrushed. I didn't want to go overboard, but something to match the paint as well as be unique. I think it turned out great

Very nicely done. The painted hoodliner makes a big difference in the look of the engine bay.

I have the same question?

IMO I think the hood liner would look so much better without the white outline, still very nice

Looks nice. Did he paint your existing insulator? Its a porous surface which would make it difficult to get a smooth finish when painting. I see pictures of them a wonder what they start with or is there a smooth surface liner available. Anyone know about this?

He painted the stock liner... he sealed it with some kind of special sealer first and then painted it; the paint is quite flexible and he says he guarantee's it so we'll see

Thanks, yes I've seen a few that have spectacular artwork with awesome detail but its a bit too much. The idea was to keep it low key yet visible when you open the hood.
At first I just wanted the chevy logo with the number 452 put into the logo but the flag was a nice touch

very nicely done. I went a bit more detail on mine. But it was to honor all vets and specially Vietnam Vets.

Very nice. I read your post about the painter sealing the OEM liner, but I still worry about the paint holding up under the high temps under the hood. Let us know how it holds up. I would like something similar.
