I find the steering to be light in this car , kept in sports mode and now changed to track mode for all time driving
What do you all set it at ?
Isnt it electric steering which firms up at higher speed?
You can set it for Always Sport (where I have mine) or if you like it "stiffer" set at Always Track Mode, regardless of drive mode.. Other than that it follows driving mode (see steering in chart below) - NOT speed.
Ok I am not so fortunate I guess as this is my only sports car
To the original post do you all find the steering to be light for a sports car , really liked the BMW steering which was more tighter, not saying I dont like the vette steering
You can set it for Always Sport (where I have mine) or if you like it less "light" set at always Track. Other than that it follows driving mode (see steering in chart below) - NOT speed.
Yep I know that but found sports to be pretty light as well , expected to be firmer

Did you try Track? In my case, with relatively good roads I would NOT drive in Track as it's too stiff for me. But Track does have "stiffer" steering. There is a way to have Track Steering Feel in any drive mode. Have to go thorough the Owner's Manual BUT you can also set NPP to any mode, regardless of drive mode. I have my NPP set for always Track regardless of drive mode.
I find the Steering in Sport fine and about right! In Touring is was "too light, IMO." Bottom Line, you can set the steering for Always Track and not have to live with the stiff ride in that mode.
Toe setting does have an affect on steering. I had my Grand Sport aligned at 450 miles, free from GM! I specified the camber and toe I wanted as the GM specs are very broad. As an example the rear camber can vary from -0.5 to -1.7 degrees and be within spec! Mine rear was set -1.6 from the factory. When checked that -1.6 rear camber was in "green" and the tech would have fixed only the one toe that was out and in "red" on the Hinter alignment screen. A 5 minute job. To set the camber and toe I specified took ~30/45 minutes. Still all on warranty.
Unfortunately can't set Throttle response as always Track, regardless of drive mode. I had a 2014 Z51 without MRC and drove where the throttle response was always maximum. When I got my Grand Sport was driving in Touring mode (where the ride was like my none MRC Z51) and lived with that slower throttle response as I had been used to faster for 3 1/2 years. Then bought a Vitesse Throttle Controller. Used it set at 4 or 5 where the "tip-in" is about linear and matched what I had been used to. However the nannie control was also coming on sooner. When I got the MRC software update making the ride less harsh, I now drive in Sport 95% or the time and no longer need the Vitesse controller.
Why driving mode Tour? Try the rough roads around here and you'll understand. Sport is OK on good roads / new pavement if I remember to switch. I've tried Eco on long trips but only see minimal mileage gains. Feeling the V8 - V4 change irritates me. I just stay in V8 and 7th gear for interstates.
^^ Frankly I was happy with my 2014 Z51 none MRC ride stiffness. I drove in Track with no affect on ride, but had the other features, nannies, throttle response, steering stiffness and NPP. When I got my Grand Sport found even with our relatively good roads in Eastern SC I had to drive in Touring to come close to the ride I had in my 2014 Z51 without MRC. In track even on the two mile twisty road I live on, with no pot holes but tree roots that push up the pavement in spots, I found what someone had said about driving in Track: "You could feel if going over a dime!"
When I got the upgraded MRC software I now drive 95% of the time in Sport, use Track when I go around the large fountain at the end of my street hitting high "gs" and Weather Mode once it gets below 45F.
Going back to the original question is there a way to make the steering feel stiffer , i set it to Track mode always but still dont like the stiffness, want it to be more tighter
^^^
Per the tables I posted, Track is as “stiff” as it gets. I have mine set for “always Sport” regardless of drive mode so it’s always the same.
There were a number of posters who had their electric steering fail. With an M7 you can test that by having the car stall. Not sure what works with an A8. Now that is very stiff. Only thing I thought of wa sure hope that doesn’t happen when I am turning into a rural road after braking agreesivly from the 4 lane highway in front of my street!
Could try reducing tire pressure. If you’re using what was recommended for a short time, 35 psi, reduce to 28 to 30. Also suggest you have your alignment checked. Toe might be out. Won’t change stiffness but will eliminate “darting” based on road ruts or crown. Until they paved tha 4 lane highway in front of the street I live on the ruts from the many log trucks that drive in the right lane going to the paper mill had the car, especially my Grand Sport moving as an edge hit a rut. Could not even see these ruts, but move to the left lane an the issue went away. Now perfect in both lanes. Just Sayn”

Hmm..so your saying tighter and stiffer are two different feelings, can you be more precise?
I was told by dealer not to drive daily in track mode, not sure if there is a valid reason.
Cracked wheels maybe?
I find Sport to be just about perfect, I use it 80% of the time. Track feels great... and yes I would like yet another setting that is even more stiff / firm / tight / heavier (whatever word you use). In Tour I find the effort too light for a sports car but I'm sure many people love it. The ability to adjust the steering and change the ride feel / suspension via the MRC to your individual preference is one of things that makes the C7 such a great driving car. Mag-ride has fully spoiled me, I can't imaging owning a car without now.

No I want steering to be more stiffer than what is available at track setting which is at the highest possible setting
It's set to Track all the time but still the steering doesnt feel that stiff as it should be

Hope its clear
Ok so your using two different words to describe the same feeling. I don't know of anyway to get tighter but I am pretty sure it is variable speed so it is speed dependent. I do keep mine in track all the time and I know for a fact the faster I go the tighter it gets. There is a noticeable difference between lets say 20mph and 50mph and 75-90mph is nice and stiff. I don't know the actual increments that it tightens up.
