I dont even notice them on mine either...not sure why it bothers some. Check out some of the big ugly marker lights on circa 70s cars...now those were fugly.

I remember having a big 1978 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight LS coupe. It had "cornering lights" at the bottom of each front fender. They were clear lights that illuminated whenever the turn signal was activated. I thought they were cool back then, but they'd definitely be gaudy by today's standards.
Who can forget the huge hood ornaments and the hood-mounted turn signal indicators of that era? Our parents and grandparents loved 'em, though.
I Can't Stand The Reflector Behind The Rear Tire's, Any Chane Anyone Knows Where to Get Something To Replace Them To Color Match Your Car
They are pretty ugly.
Oracle Lights makes some LEDs that you can replace them with that can be painted to match your body. They do stick out a hair though I found I liked that a lot more than the side marker. It was awful on a black C7.

Because you have an orange car. On a lot of colors its really bad. I hated them on my black c7.
You may want to check your laws/regulations regarding the changing/covering of these.
This is an excellent point that many owners do not think about when modifying the lights on their cars. In an accident, the modifications may make the owner liable because they did not comply with the law and make the car "less visible." That may sound like BS to many of us but I can hear the lawyers now. "My client is not at fault because he/she did not see the car because of the illegal light modifications"

Here are a few pics of the oracle lights, which are ghosted to body color. As stared above, they do stick out a bit from the originals, but IMO they look hundred times better!
^^^ Yep, as I have on my Street Rod Borla uses 304, 18% Chrome, 8% Nickel Stainless Steel. The C7 uses typical muffler steel made from 409 stainless, which has about 11% Chrome and little else. Lasts longer but does turn brown. The C7 has a very thin coat of aluminum on the sheet before it's welded (aluminized.) The 409 welds and the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) where the aluminum is gone melts!

Dunno about legal liabilities, but out where I live there's damn little ambient light on the public roads. There've been a couple times when I've come up on someone trying to cross the hwy or back road with dimmed side markers and made it hairy for both of us because I didn't see them as soon as I might normally. I think it's a pretty damn stupid idea and the last guy with that BIG "O" mouth and wide eyes as I blew by swerving around him at 75 prolly thought so too.

Good point. And really the only time one is cited is when the LEO has you pulled over for some other traffic violation. And even then it is rare they will write you up. The point you brought up about the legal issue involved would be enough for me not to modify.
