Default Easy exit

Is there an "easy exit" for the c7 and if so how is it programmed?

Yeah, you turn it on in the dash computer. By that, the steering wheel and seat return to what you set for the exit in memory.

Assuming you have a 2LT or 3LT put the seat fully back (less 1/2 inch) the front and rear seats up fully, steering wheel in and up fully. Then press two buttons on the door panel; SET and EXIT. It will beep. Then with the car off, when you open the door the seat will go to the exit position and stay there when you get in.

Now if you have a 2014 and some 2015's that exit method worked BUT the seat moved to the driving position as soon as you opened the door to get in! I called that the Superman setting as you had to be faster than a speeding bullet to use it! That software got fixed in 2016! There is a way to get around that as well.

If you have a 1LT, you're screwed! That feature and the adjustable lumbar support make a 2LT worth it! With all the distracted driver's I also would not drive without HUD! But that's me, your car your choice!

That can be reflashed by a dealer (had my 2014 done shortly after I bought it in 2014)

With 1LT, after opening the door, adjust tilt/tele steering and swing legs out. When getting into the vehicle, go butt first, then pivot legs in. Getting in this way saves wear and tear on the seat bolster too.

Funny, I never did get the optional software since was over a year before it was made available. Wonder if they is still something they would do?

The reason I never bothered was by the time the software was available I had learned a faster technique for my September 2013 built C7 M7! While I was buckling my seat belt with my right hand, I used a finger on my left to hold my #1 button in! Did that for 3 1/2 years.

When I got my Grand Sport was still using that approach instead of the "push the start button twice" method. Now I mostly take the extra time and use two button push approach! Takes a bit longer but getting used to grabbing the seat belt quickly after I hit the start button to get the seat moving into position!

In the C6's it would eventually pull one of the airbag connectors under the seat loose, which would cause the airbag light to come on in the dash. People used zip ties to hold the connectors tight enough together so that the light would not come on. I haven't heard of this issue in the C7's, yet. All that said, motors and moving parts wear out eventually. So given enough time, you will probably encounter issues.

I had my 2014 2lt reflashed about a year ago to add the exit option, helped so much as I'm tiny and it was hard to get in and out

I fall in butt first. I roll out twisting with forearm on upper seat to exit. Works best for me.
