Default Outside air temp sensor location

Does anyone know where the outside air temp sensor is located? 2014 Stingray has tens digit inaccurate and 1-9 still working. I thought I might be able to replace the sensor if I knew where it is. Thanks for your help.

I do believe it is in the front radiator area, passenger side and most likely to get to it, you might need to remove the nose. Although, it is on the rear side of the radiator and you might be able to get at it below the air filter.

Let me check my helms on how to get to it.

Helms says:
1 Lift Vehicle
2. Remove front facia (nose)
3 R/R the sensor

Sensor is at right (passenger) side at the bottom of the radiator. If you look in the grill, down toward the bottom of the space, you will see a square hole. The air sensor sits on the back of that hole and reads the air that passes through.

Thanks, I'll take a look. Probably wouldn't take off the nose, so might just leave it.

That explains things ... the most in accurate sensor ever, in my experience ... um maybe move it away from the radiator so it cannot be influenced by that heated air ?

It's actually under the radiator and in the direct path of the air that blows into the front of the car. I doubt it's influenced by the radiator for a heat soak reaction.

Too bad they didn’t make it as accessible as the one on the C5. Haven’t looked at my car, but I guess there is no lower access panel that can be removed to get at the sensor from below?

They're like the lights. Step 1 Remove nose!

The Engineers that did this stuff should be flogged.
