I recently looked at a 2017 Z06 for sale. I got to thinking about the AD. As usual the car pictures looked great but then again a sharp observer noticed that the plates on the car had expired so these were not current pictures! This was verified later! Another odd thing was that the car had two sets of tires and the set that was not on the car looked used quite a bit.
This got me to thinking, "how many trips down the drag strip would equate to 300 miles"? Roughly 150! On top of this the car was advertised at $27,000 off! The asking price was $27,000 off STICKER!
I know that interference is not allowed in a sale AD so I thought that I would post here for comment!
If the car looks the same now as it did when the pics were taken, who cares? We all know what a z06 looks like.
You buy a used performance car, you run the "risk" of it being used as such in the past. Either buy new or get a used one thoroughly checked out.
I'm not sure which way you are going on the asking price, but considering you can probably get a brand new 2019 for not terribly more than that right now, I wouldn't be looking at a two year old one unless it was coming further down than that.
Just the way it goes at the end of the model run, the new discounts are so steep that now is not the time to sell a used one. If I were the seller I'd probably wait for the C8 to come out and let the used market of C7's normalize first.

^^^ Can buy a brand a new 2019 from Kebeck for $14,000 off. Local dealers may be cheaper if they have a new 2018 that has not sold.
Two sets of wheels if one set is an all season is typical.
Used c7 Z06 will ALWAYS be available. Odd job prior year new Z06 will SEEM to be on dealers lots forever, but they will eventually turn used. ONLY NOW CAN U GET NEW Z06 N ALL THE GREAT COLORS AT A MINIMUM 12% OFF ORDERED, even MORE DISCOUNT if your favorite arrives on the truck dealer spec or is already on the lot now. EVEN if you must buy used, wait, only crazy good deal used will be moving, while EVERY BODY ELSE WILL BE BUYING CRAZY GOOD DEAL NEW. Not a formula for rising used prices by any means.
Your example, in November 2017 GM reduced the price of EVERY ZO6 ON THE LOTS BY 20%, remaining 2017s and 2018s
So a used one 27% off msrp, is really only 7% off price paid. MSRP window stickers are only useful for framing to impress the uninformed at your parties.

I am not looking for a Z06 but as I said the AD caught my eye. I don't know any people that have only put 300 miles on a car in 2 plus years and have a full set of spare wheels and tires to go with it! As for looking good, yes it did but as I said, the pictures are when the car was new!
Years ago, I think that is was around 1975 I bought a nice looking 1967 Big Block convertible. It also had low miles and despite the fact that the big block was not in it as it had a 327 I bought it because the price was right and it looked nice!
To make a long story short, the engine was a piece of junk, it had a cracked block. I also had problems when you started out with a little throttle, it would pull to the left. I took it to a Vette mechanic and He showed me where the frame attached to the axle, the mount on one side was completely broken away and on the other side there was just about 1 inch of steel holding the rear end to the car. Rebuilt engine, rear end fixed, and gear set changed from 411 to 336 and I had a nice driveable car!
The whole point of my story is that this was a nice low mileage car but had been beaten severely!
As noted, used cars of any sort are always a risk and used sports/performance doubly so unless you personally know the seller quite well. Some are willing to go for it, others of us are NOT! Take your pick; take your chances. All the best!
