I ask the question, has anyone ever seen a mid engine convertible? I cannot think if one. Where would you stuff the retracted top? At the Bash it was rumored there will be no vert and no stick w C8.

Look at any Ferrari 360, 420, 456,488, F8 Tributo, etc. etc.
We've already seen the C8 convertible testing. No stick is true, but no convertible is incorrect.

Yes... a hard top convertible is a fake convertible with fake open sky above your head and behind you.
The removable top on my coupe is as close to a real convertible as I want to get. You can call it a fake convertible but I like to think of it as the anti convertible.

We get to look better and have 70% of the same experience as vert owners
What ?? Fake convertible with fake open sky? what are you talking about??
Sarcasm... many in the C7 and C8 sections are posting that the retractile hard top is not a "real" convertible to make themselves feel better about the C7 they currently own. This post states you must order now if you want the last "real" convertible.
Looks like a convertible to me. I wouldn't buy a C8 that wasn't a convertible. My only small worry is luggage space. If it has the same capability as the C7, then I'm a C8 candidate, otherwise, can't use it to travel with the wife.
No one knows that the mid engine will not be offered in a vert in a year or two. The C-5 waited a year (even though the frame is/was designed to be a vert), The C-3 did away with them after a few years. The C-4 waited a couple of years.

Actually we know the C8 vert is coming.... we've seen it testing... and the large volume dealer where I have one of my deposits confirmed it's not going to be delayed a year model. It may come out after the coupe, but not long after. Same as the C7.
Like the C7, the wider market is for a coupe. So the C7 might be the last. Not sure that makes them more valuable though? Friend bought a 1976 Cadillac convertible. It was supposed to be the last. And wasn't. Bottom line, things change. Your worse is someone else's better. A few of the very high dollar supercars have what they term a 'convertible'. But really stowable lift off panel. Hey the motor sits where the top would fold down. Just so much room for stuff back there.

Did you even bother to read the thread before posting?
