I had been thinking about upgrading to a C7 for a while now always looking and keeping a keen eye open. Although I really love my C5, with the new C8 arriving soon and me retiring and the 2019 Corvette Caravan, its time. I looked at a yellow 2015 found out it was in an accident in FL.+ the old lady says its too flashy. Looked at a really nice black one. Nah, black wheels. and then I found this one. Since I am new to the C7 crowd I am looking for your input on this:
I too have upgraded to a 2019 Stingray. Couldn't afford a Z06 or even a Grand Sport but I'm pretty happy with what I bought. Thought about the new mid-engine models but knew damn well the window sticker will be WAY out of my price range. Good Luck with whatever decision you make.
Gee, I sold my C3 (1975) Corvette back in the late 1980s and bought a C2 (1966), which I still drive today. I guess I must have down-graded. Who knew ??
I came from a C5 convertible and went to a 2014 Z51 3LT and I couldn't have been happier with my decision. I absolutely loved my C5, it was a show winner and was a ton of fun...but the C7 is just in a league of its own. Get yourself a C7 and I promise you wont be disappointed. The C7 is just a massively improved car in almost every category; speed, handling, performance, looks, quality, etc.
Here is the day my C7 arrived and my C5 was sold - bitter sweet but so happy with my decision back then:
Beautiful color, nice wheels, good looking car with very low mileage. Time to buy an Autocheck report to assure, in addition to the free Carfax and time to take that VIN to your local Chevy dealer and obtain the VIS report to see what repairs were made under warranty and verify that the oil changes occurred. Also, note that you can extend the B2B new car warranty on that car using the forum Dealer Dennis Fichtner (spelling). They discount warranty extensions. Maybe you want to take it to a Chevy dealer who deals in new Corvettes to have it inspected. If it all checks out, then I'd buy it.
I'm a little prejudice here as I did almost the same thing, bought a 2 year old Stingray with very low mileage (4200) back in 2016. I have zero regrets and saved quite a bit compared to a new Corvette with the same options.
Hope this works out for you, please keep us posted.
EDIT: Also, I too came from a C5 to a C7, it's a huge upgrade.

In your case any move away from a 75 would be an upgrade.
We went from C5 to C7 (then C7 again) and as much as we loved the C5 (our first Corvette) the C7 blows it away. You'll love it, whichever way you decide to go.
I went from a C5 to the C7 Z06, I have never regretted the jump, & I thought there would never be a better car that the C5, as I had driven it 80K miles. I now have 30k miles on my Z & every drive is just as exciting as the first.

The point I was trying to make was that some people may like something different than others. I didn't upgrade nor downgrade I just bought a model year I personally liked better (best). I'm sure there are plenty of 1975 C3 owners who love their cars and have no plans to "up/down-grade",but am sure they appreciate you letting them know your opinion of their cars. I wonder if Lambo owners feel sorry for the Corvette owners who are still stuck driving Chevys.......

Lol...in summary you dumped your 75 for something you liked better. Regardless what does this have to do with the OP or thread title?

You were being cheeky and received some back.
Yes I did....., something I liked better. "I" being the operative word. And the word "upgraded" in the title is what prompted me to post. If I said a red C7 was an upgrade to a black C7 I bet I'd get some backlash too.... It's all about personal preference.
Have a nice weekend TXshaggy....., I'm going offline now as well as over the weekend so won't see anything you post until Monday. Drive safely.

That looks like a great deal, low mileage, beautiful color. Do your homework (carfax etc), get the out the door price, and make the decision.
THAT's exactly right... A lot of the big and even the "good 'ol boys small town dealers offer super internet prices however, BEWARE...that low internet advertised price has strings attached...mostly, you must finance with them (GM) to qualify. By the time you pay all the finance fees and interest, your actually going to pay more in the long run even if you pay your loan off prematurely, you'll pay interest and maybe even a penalty for premature pay-off. I almost got screwed by a dealer in Springdale, AR this way...talked to three different sales people including the sales manager and got three different responses on the price. Turned out had I paid cash the price went UP $2,100 more than the "internet" price. They make their money with dealer financing....I was lucky to find a great Chevy dealer in Springfield, MO...Reliable Chevrolet...Their advertised internet price was exactly the price of the car...no bullshit. Then they took off the 3k Corvette rebate...These guys especially the sales rep, Jack Spencer, were great to deal with, honest, professional and courteous.
Like most folks here, I too to the plunge and moved from a C5 (2003 50th Anniversary Edition Vert) to a C7 (2017 Stingray Vert - Torch Red/3LT) in May of 2018. I primarily made the change as we are planning to do the 2019 Caravan and I knew that with right at +100,000 miles on the C5, there was gong to be a fair amount of expense to bring her up to "caravan worthy". This move was very difficult for me as the 50th was my first and I truly LOVE that car and still thing it is the prettiest vette (especially after having my wife's "redecorating" it and it dripping in gold accents). However, after having the C7 for a year now, I have found the C7 to be a significant LEAP in a car. It is greatly improved in just about every aspect from performance to handling. I absolutely love being behind the wheel of this car and it ain't shabby in the "looks department" either....lol. My advice to the OP is GO FOR IT.....save the wave.....
