Yep a little more MPH on either side could have been fetal. That cement truck could have gone right over him.

Yes, more pure, dumb luck involved in that type of accident than crash-worthiness.

I find it amazing that the targa top stayed in place while the header was ripped off the A pillars and the top. Also, that the cladding inside the A pillar broke off and would have impaled someone as stout as me. One VERY lucky guy.

Very lucky guy to only have very minor injuries, but the Corvette has been a safe car for quite a while.

That's not what an independent outfit has recently reported. The C7 Chevrolet Corvette is the second most likely car to become a fatality in. A Mitsubishi Mirage? led as the most dangerous car.
Does driving a Corvette recklessly on streets and highways as some are fond of add to the death count? Absolutely. That's NOT the C7's fault...

I realize that when I strap in to the C7 Corvette, that my risk of serious injury or death is there. Just as the motorcycle riders accept their potential fate. We ALL know the risks...

Must have been the ceramic coating and Xpel that saved him.☺
