Default Remote still in vehicle alert

Hey guys, you know how you can go into settings and set this alert, and it will ding, ding, ding from the driver's door if you leave your remote in the car?
Well, my '18 started dinging every time I shut it down and open the driver's door. That alert isn't set; never has been on this car. I thought it might be the remote but
it does the same thing with my second spare. Hate to take it in for this stupid problem....any suggestions?

Try disconnecting battery for a few minutes, reconnect.
Might clear whatever seems to be 'stuck', if that doesn't solve issue it's off to dealer.
Fortunately an '18's covered w/ B2B, now's a good time to use it.

Following. Mine started doing this. Do your lights stay on for about 10 minutes as well?

Figured it out. Somehow the headlight switch got turned from 'auto' to 'on'. Since, even in the 'on' position, the headlights will turn off after 10 minutes or so (saving the battery from rundown), I never suspected this. Check your headlight switch
.

Glad you found the issue. I was just about to post that the fob-in-car alert will beep the horn, not the interior chime.
