What makes the clear bra, whether its Xpel or 3M, adhere to the car once its installed. Is there some type of adhesive that is activated when it is wet during the install? Has anyone had the edges start to detach and peel? I made an appointment to have mine done in a couple of weeks.
That's correct. Its an acrylic adhesive. With a quality experienced installer you will not have edges pulling up at all. I'm over 3 years with mine with no problems (and no rock chips).

There is an adhesive on the underside so when we pull the backing layer off, the adhesive is exposed and once squeegeed down, it adheres to the surface. The video below by YouTuber Engineering Explained (2.2 million subscribers) will held shed some light on PPF AKA Clear Bra.
