Any way to have the PDR camera turn on with ignition automatically ?
I just tried out an played with the PDR camera in my Corvette . Two questions........
I noticed that the camera still continues to record even if I turn off the engine and open the door. ( I assumed that exiting the car would stop the recording , but tried it-- and not the case) Will the PDR still continue to record even if I turn off the engine, open and exit thru the drivers door and even continue to record after I lock the car ?
1) Is the only way to turn it OFF is only manually thru the display panel control ?
2) Also, is there any way to have the camera START AUTOMATICALLY RECORDING once I start the engine or I start to drive ? I would like to use it as a dash cam.

The PDR times out in about 45min I believe. You have to turn it on each time you drive the car. Many use it as a dashcam. However I personally decided to install a BlackVue 2 camera setup. Comes on automatically as well has records while the car is off for when parked.

Somebody posted about having set his PDR to start automatically when the car is in Valet mode.
Not sure if that's really true.

No. Have you read your owners manual?
