Few yrs back Subaru had a power steering issue and they went to the home of each car owner with the recall and picked the car up and fixed it. Not sure why it is taking so long to get replacement parts, why not pull new ones off the assembly line and send to those dealers with pending sales at least. Mine is in the recall mix and I am not going to fix it until I have an issue which I hope it is never. Good luck with it and I would shoot GM CEO Mary Bara an email, she will never see it but someone her staff will. I did this on a 16 stingray I had problem with and GM finally bought it back.
Calling bank tomorrow to cancel check. I don’t believe they cashed it yet since I think they know they weren’t supposed to sell the vehicle. Fingers crossed I’ll keep you posted.
I am part of the recall and had the power steering fail on me last month. Got the same talk, don't know when, will keep checking, etc. I sent an email to Mary Barra to get a case opened and explained situation. While they didn't promise anything, suspiciously a part was found and delivered to my dealer within a week. Send an email and get a case open so you can keep that great deal you got!
Talked to GM through FB and today order was cancelled and all money returned. Have to say that was easy and I’m glad my nerves are back to normal. Time to start the search for another car.

I’m thinking of staying course but told dealership I expect to be compensated since they lied to me or failed to inform me about this before I bought it. Maybe I can get some upgraded aero for my trouble. Priority Chevy in Chesapeake, VA is the stealership. Will see if they own up to there tactics and make me happy.
Well at leaast they havent tried to arrest you for stealing your own car !!!!
Good to hear you got out of that mess with all of your money! And it's not a good deal if you don't get the car as part of deal. I'm guessing you'll find another and hopefully you will get the car as soon as you pay your $$. Don't look back

[QUOTE=JALLEN4;1599589028]Have you ever physically seen and touched the car or was it bought by remote control? Do you or your bank actually have the MSO and necessary titling papers? Is the dealer in the same state you reside in?
If the vehicle cannot be delivered with the inherent problem, it would be on a sales hold from GM. It would be a disreputable action for the dealer to allow the vehicle to be sold to you and collect full payment?

This 100% correct. There is a difference between an open recall and a stop sale recall. The 2017 Corvettes do not have a stop sales recall on them for the steering. 2019 Chevrolet Traxs have a stop sale recall for the lower control arms possibly breaking. A dealer can not deliver a Trax that has the stop sale. GM will flag it not pay the dealer any of the rebates.
2017 Corvette used cannot be GM pre-own certified due to the recall.
Glad it worked out This dealer has had some shady dealings with people and other new Chevys they have sold. They have acquired many other dealerships and have a little empire growing.. Me personally I would not not give them the time of day. They do show a new 2017 Grand Sport 3LT Auto trans silver color sticker $80k selling for $68k just some info

Good for you. Time to talk to a few dealer vendors here about their leftovers.
I can name one, see pm.
