Default Finance question

Hey guys! I wasn't too sure where to ask this question. But thank you in advance.

I live in Los Angeles and looking into buying a new z06 3lz. What is a good price for the car straight out of the dealership.

Any recommended dealers ?
Who do you guys recommend financing with ?

What are you guys paying for your car? Down payment, monthly, apr, total price?

I paid cash.I always have paid cash for my new Corvettes.

If you can't afford to pay cash for a toy like the new C7, you're going to need to search for a lender. Good Luck...

Find an interest free loan with 30-40% down, it’s almost like paying cash.

Can't answer the price point question, because that is an on site negotiation that can't be anticipated online, but...

What point is a good point to finance vs pay cash (assuming you can)? Do you actually have the cash to do so? If you do, will it cost you more to pull it out than finance the car? This right there is the point!

If you are going to finance, I recommend getting two or more deals lined up before you go to the dealer. The dealer financing will almost always beat the financing you already have lined up. But only if you have a loan or two pre-arranged (which is different than pre-approved).

Besides, paying cash (even if you have it) is generally a bad idea as in today's financial/investment climate, you can generally make a better return off your money then what it will cost you to finance your auto purchase.
In addition, the dealer can usually discount the new C7 a little more if you are financing as they are often making money off the financing or receiving a fee from the lender.

Absolutely agree 100% . Why tie up your money when you can use others for free or at little cost ......

Op. Go to a local credit Union by you. Full out and app and get a pre approval for a little more than you will need. Make sure they will cover you on the high end of what you might need to finance. You can work out payments and term with them and figure where you need to be down payment wise in order to achieve you payment comfort zone. Then after you negotiate your deal get a buyer's order from dealer with the exact dollar amount you need and go back to the CU to get your loan finalized and pick up your bank check to bring to the dealer to take delivery. Any other questions just ask. I'm a business mgr at a car dealership. Have been in the business for over 25 years. I'm happy to help.. Good luck.

Was thinking the same thing...not a strategic move to pay cash when that money can be growing in investments while loan rates are so darn cheap. If the interest rates were crazy high then it might make more sense to pay cash.

Thank you all who are taking the time to reply.

Didn't expect for some of you to straight up say you paid cash. That's awesome and all but not what I am looking for.

I bought my vette 4 yrs ago and went to the credit union and got a high rate. Called Kerbeck were I bought the car and got something like 2.2%. Large dealers can get you sometimes much better rates due to volume.
