Bad Luck!

I hate when that happens.
My personal record is replacing six tires on one Corvette in one week. With two nail holes that were repaired.
It was a bad week.

That is bad luck getting a puncture right on the tire’s edge. Looks like a new tire is in your future.

I lost two rear tires in a week, but six is truly awful.

Well....
I was preparing the '05 to transport my son to college, so I replace the front tires the Monday before we left for the trip to Florida (we were planning on leaving Sunday). Got new tires at the dealer, drove home (50 mi). Got home and realized they replaced them with Non RFs. Called and drove up (100+ miles on the tires) to get the proper Michelin RFs installed. On the second front set. Tire count four.
Drove home, drove around until Friday, and discovered two nails in both my back tires, no pressure loss. Called around (this was 2008) to see who could even plug them, went to a couple places, and they said no. Finally, found a tire place who would plug/patch them.
I'm good to go to Florida!
Come Sunday, I'm 50 miles north of Richmond, Va, and I ran over a sheet metal piece of something which sliced the crap out of my LR inner sidewall. 2 inches at least. This was in the pouring rain on a Sunday, in a dead zone, with no shoulders, and a drop off of unthinkable inches and muddiness.
Got to where a phone worked (Yay! RFs) and called Mr.owc who immediately started calling around to see who could set us up, but no luck on a Sunday. No luck for RFs in that year.
Got a room in Richmond (why, yes I did drive over 50 miles with a sidewall slice). At ZP.
Showed up at ZIP Corvette at 8:15 Monday Morning. They Set me up, and was on the road by ten, with set three . Covoluted, but six tires later, plus two nails which didn't even affect anything .
Shout out to ZIP Corvettes even a decade later! :thumbs;

Melting Slicks
Bad luck is when they can't get a new tire for a week and your stuck in a hotel and then you get the car back and the wheel has a big gouge and isn't balanced correctly.

Burning Brakes
I avoid the shoulders of the road, taking turns too tight or wide, areas with new construction. These are parts of the road that debris settles in. It’s like at the race track where the marbles settle, avoid going there bad things happen!
