If you pressed the lock button and then pressed the remote start button, that should have done it. If not, then I'd suspect the FOB battery might be crapping out.
You can remote start your car twice in a row and then the remote start is disabled until you physically get in the car with the fob and start the car with your foot on the brake. Also, you can remote start your car and extend the original run time by an additional 10 minutes by pressing the same fob sequence. Once the car shuts off after the time extension, you will have to start the car with your foot on the brake.
Try your other fob, try the phone app, or replace your fob batteries.

Had this happen to another brand vehicle. Even though the truck was only 3 months the battery in the FOB was too weak to get the signal out. It's cheap enough to try.
