The Options:

Touring Edition Exhausts

Touring Edition Axleback:

A straight-through design, the AWE Touring Edition Axleback is a 3” T304L stainless steel configuration featuring AWE’s proprietary, drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®.

With aggression on-tap, the Touring Edition provides the ultimate experience for drivers wanting the ability to unleash the fury of the 6.2L while providing drone-free in-cabin acoustics at cruising speeds. Responsive to throttle input, the 180 Technology®-equipped Touring Edition is capable of remaining tame until provoked by the driver.

The Touring Edition Axleback comes complete with over-axle tubes, rear 180 Technology® resonators, quad 4.5” double-walled tips in chrome silver or diamond black, and all necessary hardware for installation.

Sound Perfection: 180 Technology® by AWE

As exhaust gases exit the Corvette’s 6.2L engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. Call it science, call it magic, or call it 180 Technology® by AWE. More in the tab above.

Touring Edition Valveback:

In valveback form, the Touring Edition Valveback mates to the factory AFM valves on applicable models, beginning right above the rear axle. The Touring Edition Valveback jumps up from the factory diameter to full 3”, shaves ten pounds from the rear, and features AWE’s drone-canceling 180 Technology®.

Track Edition Exhausts

Track Edition Axleback:

Raw, rowdy, and lightweight. The AWE Track Edition Axleback is the perfect dose of steel for drivers looking for the loudest of the lot.

Retaining the 3” diameter T304L stainless steel construction, the Track Edition Axleback mirrors all of the precision engineering and perfect fitment found in its Touring Edition counterpart, minus the 180 Technology®. Instead, the Track Edition features straight pipe sections to deliver the thunder.

Track Edition Valveback:

The AWE Track Edition in valveback form provides a cost effective, aggressive configurations for AFM-equipped models looking to drop weight from the rear while uncorking the 6.2L. From factory diameter to 3”, the Track Edition replaces the factory rear muffler with straight pipe sections.

Performance X-Pipe

The AWE Performance X-Pipe is a full 3” T304L stainless steel, bolt-on mid section that omits the secondary catalysts. In place lies a precision-engineered X section that grants the 6.2L a refined muscle tone with a touch of exotic character.

Please note: the Performance X-Pipe is for racing use only.

Tip Options:

All tip options include the AWE logo and double-walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.

4.5” slash-cut diamond black tips

4.5” slash-cut chrome silver tips

Conversion Kits:
We made it easy to convert catbacks from a Track Edition to a Touring Edition, non-resonated to resonated, or vice versa if you decide at a later date to turn it up or turn it down.

Important notes:

In the case of the Track Edition Exhausts: these babies are known to get (really) rowdy, and may be too much for some. They’re not for the faint of heart, and for this reason, Track Edition Exhausts cannot be returned based on sound preference. Choose your weapon wisely.

What’s in the box?

Complete AWE Touring or Track Edition Axleback/Valveback, quad 4.5” tips in desired finish (unless its a Performance X-pipe only), and all required installation hardware.

Default C7 Z06 with AWE Track Axleback Exhaust

This was the first one we did on a bone stock 2019 C7 Z06 that just left the dealership last week! This got the AWE Track Axleback Exhaust which left the factory x pipe in place. We were really impressed with the sound as it was not loud in the cabin at all, but outside the car really had an aggressive sound to it. It was not too loud by any means but definitely gave the motor a killer muscle car sound and the weight savings was 23lbs over the stock muffler setup!

You can purchase this system here and choose from Chrome or Diamond Black tips too!

In this video, you'll hear:
  • Start Up
  • Revving
  • Pull Away
  • Drive By - slow and fast
  • Walk Around
  • In cabin

Default C7 Z06 with AWE Track Axleback Exhaust and x pipe

Next we added the x pipe to the track exhaust on the stock 2019 C7 Z06! This has the AWE Track Axleback Exhaust. Adding the x pipe to this really brings it to life and for those guys that want to really hear the exhaust, this is the setup for you. The motor still had that muscle car sound, but it let everyone know the car meant business! The weight savings was 28.5lbs over the stock muffler setup!

Default C7 ZR1 with AWE Touring Axleback Exhaust with Kooks Headers

On our 920whp shop ZR1, we added the AWE Touring Axleback with Diamond Black tips to the current Kooks header setup. I'm not gonna lie, pairing this with headers had me a little nervous because I've always been a "valve" kind of guy myself, but the first thing my tech said when it roared to life was... "huh, that's not too loud at all... that sounds really good!" The touring setup has a really nice sound to it, somewhere between a Corsa and Borla to me. It sounds exotic but also very throaty and deep. The weight savings was 10lbs over the stock muffler setup!

Very nice videos.

if I was to add the track option, onto my 19 stingray with the corsa off-road x pipe I assume it would sound similar to that second video?

follow up question, the 4 tips, are they evenly spaced at the rear, meaning they aren’t the style that has 2, a gap, then 2?but the same as my current NPP look

Yes indeed the sound would be very similar without the secondary cats

And yes the tips look evenly spaced to me!

PM me your email address if you want me to shoot over an invoice.

Are there anymore videos out there of this track valve back in action? I was talking to my dealer about install and he advised me that it would be ‘ridiculously and offensively loud’ ... I have had loud cars before, previous mustang didn’t have any mufflers and it wasn’t that bad.

someone help me get off off the fence here....

it’s already a decent volume with the corsa off-road x pipe and NPP fuse pulled out.... do I NEED this track valve back, that’s the question.... plan to keep the car until the 2nd year of the C8 Z06
