Hi guys! I am new to this forum. I bought my first Corvette 6/22/19. A 2019 GS 2LT white with red interior M7 coupe.LOVE it! I bought off of Kerbeck's lot so is needs some customization. I would like to add red hash marks and maybe a blue or red GS stripe. Should I source through GM or aftermarket? What vendors? Can a newbie install or a pro? Thanks Guys!
VetteStripes offers many different designs in a lot of colors and are priced reasonably.
Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on the new GS. I agree with Jack, VetteStripes. Quality materials, and match the GM colors exactly. I had Expel applied to the fenders of my GS. The installer removed the factory strips, and used VetteStripes to replace them. I can't tell any difference.
Made my own redesign, I wanted them to go all the way to the edge of the paint. Not sure whey all the OEM style leave that circle around the wheel well.
I had a professional put mine on but got them from Vettestripes.com and I'm happy with the way they look. They have every kind of stripe you can think of. There's a company near me called Signs Now and the guy is an authorized 3M applier. They are a chain so maybe you have one near you. BTW use 3mil thick vinyl. Good luck!
Just FYI, thickness has less than nothing to do with how long a vinyl will last outdoors. Cast materials are usually the best you can get, and they are generally thinner than calendered vinyls.
As advised by many purchase your stripes from Vettestripes as they are the best going. I would recommend paying a professional to install them as you can get them done too cheap to risk damaging material attempting to install yourself.
You might want to contact your local Corvette club to get recommendations as to who does quality work in your area.

Sorry but just telling you that's what the licensed 3M professional that applied my stripes and the person at VetteStripes.com told me as well when I ordered my stripes. Maybe you're right but just saying what advise I was given.
