we bought our GS this past February, w/10k on the clock, ... I've noticed lately that to me the steering (w/12k on it) seems very "jumpy, squirely".......it pulls when driving straight , but not all the time..... I at first thought it was just reacting to the pavement and road surface, but as of late im goin to make an appt for a wheel alignment real soon w/a shop that has new equipment .....my wife said when she drove it one time,..... she was forced onto the right shoulder by a ******** towing a boat who just ket coming into her right lane, that's the only thing that has happened since we bought it ........anyone else have any issues with just a minor avoidance and throwing the steering/alignment out of whack ?...................thanx....
Not sure if this has anything to do with what you're experiencing but Chevrolet just announced a recall on certain 2017 models that has something to do with the power steering. You can go here to check .. my.gm.com/recalls .. enter your VIN
Pulling back and forth sounds like the tires are following pavement seams/irregularities. Probably a wheel alignment with a little more toe in would correct the wandering.
Likely the power steering recall. No parts available to fix it right now.
The power steering recall has to do with it "turning off" NOT the OP's issue. I'd have the alignment checked and adjusted to centerline.
It might also be the specific road. I live off of a 4 Lane divided highway with a number of heavy trucks traveling in the right lane. It's asphalt, and although you can't see the shallow ruts the trucks make, the GS wide tires grab on the edges and can pull it to one side or the other. I usually ride in the left lane where the trucks seldom drive and there is no tracking issue. If someone comes up from behind I move to the right let them pass and back to the left. Not an issue on other highways or I95 Interstate (in the sections I drive.)

I agree with you. The term is called tramlining. Caused by the extra wide tires following the grooves or ruts in the pavement.
